I thought that's what we were getting when I first heard Carried Away on stage in April.  Was a little disappointed to find out it was a Carl solo tune, but pleased that MMJ let him showcase his own music in a Jacket show.  Like we Deadheads, shouting for Phil to sing a tune, maybe we need more pleas for Snowy Bramble!

The best pure alt. country pop band has just reformed and they intend to play together for the rest of their lives. I would love to hear JJ play with the Jayhawks. Also Pete Townshend. My 2 favorite songwriters, and both can sing in falsetto.

Selfishly, I don't want them to work with anyone else..... because the less time they spend collaborating with others, the more time they'll have to crank out copious amounts of pure MMJ good shit.

However, I've always hoped that one day they'd team up with Neil Young like Pearl Jam did years ago.  Him as guest guitarist on a few new MMJ songs and them as his backing band for an entire album....... damn.  Pretty unlikely that it will ever come to fruition, but that's how I'd like to see it go down.
