Photos taken at shows...

is it possible to photograph the shows?  the reason i ask is the photos section seems to have photos that are sent in by fans, and not necissarily by pros.

most photos in the gallery are indeed by fans

I take photos at pretty much every show I go to (but they're all at small venues/bars). I took pictures at the Seattle show, which was at a venue that is not always camera friendly--I've had security hassle me about it at other shows. So I made sure I was in the center of the crowd and tried not to always use my flash, but I don't think it was necessary--there were lots of people taking pictures.
