peanut butter puddin surprise

got on the road and cruised up to milwaukee this weekend for the show at the rave...big shoutouts to antoniostrohs and mrs. antoniostrohs who also made the journey from da ville, and to danilove who cruised in from madison...you guys are the best!

first time seeing the new lineup.  totally rawked my world!  awesome guitar freakouts at the beginning and ending of songs.  jim had the parrot on, and they inflated a blowup ghost on stage for the encore....opener m ward was backed by the boys, and it just sounded great, like they found themselves a musical spiritual brother.  rock on!

as with all of the shows, i stand there and try to remember the setlist, but after a few beers it fades into the alcohol stained recesses of my warped mind.  no cobra at the end, but a wicked run thru and a oh-so delicious steam engine that sounded a beat or two slower than usual, allowing for even more spine chillin', brain melting, soul-recharging moments that live on in time....if these guys aren't the cure for what-ails-ya, you need a shrink!  ;D

as a result, today at 6 a.m. when the alarm went off, reality kicked me in the ass with a boat sized boot!

Dude-
I'm still buzzing...Carl and Bo were fantastic. The band sounded really great - totally full of genuine energy. At one point, Tom was rockin' so hard I thought his head was gonna fly right off. It was pretty funny; a friend of mine also commented: "I wonder how much hair they loose to the knobs on their guitars?"

The show was a true victory for 'em. I've been to all of their Milwaukee shows, and this one was by far and away the most crowded and high-spirited. The crowd was at least three-times as big as anytime before and, despite some initial sound issues before the show, the crowd loved 'em. In fact, after the show, Bo and Carl were both pretty excited - they said that Milwaukee was one of their favorite shows to date! So, I think the two newbies are coming into their own, if they haven't already.

I saw this cheesy bumper sticker recently; it said, "Follow your bliss." So, John, I think that means that we need to start tearin' up some serious highway soon. See you soon!

Love.  :-*

Ah, but of course!  I will be tearin' it up in the coming weeks, and I'm sure our paths will cross.  8)
