So how come no one has talked about the giant costumes people were weaing on stage during the show, as well as the conductor who was up there the whole show?  The first one came out after about the 4th song or so, and then another one came out after the end of each song.  There was a big ant, a giraffe, and some other crazy shit.  At first it was just weird and funny, but then eventually it was just so cool its hard to describe.  James then explained that the conductor coreographed the whole performance!!  So anyone else know anything about this? I'll put some pictures up later today when I get home from work.

We have discussed this already.Check the other Bonnaroo threads and also some threads in the shows forum.I think most people enjoyed both performances.

Yeah, Tony's right.  I think it's in one of the Bonnaroo threads.  I'm sure Riny'll post a TONNE of puppet pictures very soon.

And it shall be sooooo good.  Mmmm puppets.  Giant, dancing, magical puppets.  :)

Awesome show and yes, they were a special treat for the Roos. The puppets are from Squallis Puppeteers out of Louisville Kentucky. Not sure where Maestro Fredrick was from, but he definitely brought the entire ensemble together. The interaction between the band and puppets was fun and amazing. OK, so they scared me at first, childhood stuff to get over. The downloads listed in the previous post are kewl because you can hear Bonnaroo Radio before the show and the taper discussing it afterwards too. Need a flac converter to convert to .wav files. I plan to have pics of the Roo show in a day or so up on the web as well.
Look into Western skies, your answer is over there.
