looked like a ton of fun.. i wish i could have went but due to unforseen circumstances i could not.

i'm noticing that this year's set wasnt quite as flawless and perfect as last year's bonnaroo set. that was probably the most perfect 72 minutes of live music ever played. but still.. i bet the puppets were awesome.

Did anyone go to the "Silent Disco"?  I heard there was a Jim sighting there.  Apparently, there was some sort of tent that had a DJ spinning into headphones while a bunch of crazy kids danced to the silence.  And our man Jim was among them.  ;D

I havent seen anyone post about Jim James being at Dr. Dog on sunday in the early afternoon. My friend was up close and he turns around to look for me and Jim James is standing behind him. We talked to him after the show and took a picture with him. He seems like a really cool guy. My Morning Jacket ROCKS!!! ;D I'll see if i can get the picture from my friend. Anyone have any links to the recordings from bonnaroo? thanks and take care people.

read this on Galactic's list....

FRIDAY 4:46 p.m.

Sidestage within ``That Tent,'' My Morning Jacket frontman Jim
James nods deeply along with the signature gravelly monotone of
country legend John Prine, seeming to contain within it all the
rustic wear, dark humor and heartbreak that courses through the
body of his lyrical work. James, and the rest of the fixated tent,
sing in unison along with a heartfelt rendition of the Prine
classic ``Angel from Montgomery'' in celebration of the fact that
the songsmith still possesses his verve, irreverence, and, thank
God, venom. The set also finds Prine dusting off the classic ``Your
Flag Decal Won't get You into Heaven Anymore'' for the first time
in 25 years. He dedicates the occasion to Bush, quipping, ``It
wasn't a formal request, but believe me, he's asking for it.''
Moments later a crack of lightning splits the gray afternoon sky,
ushering in a brief downpour. ``Well,'' Prine says, ``I guess we
got our answer.''

Yes, this years show was great, the new tunes sounded good, I'm dying for the set list so please post it if ya got it. The giraffe with snagle teeth kept on staring at me. Yeah man the Acoustic Bermuda Highway was a highlight. I Will sing You Songs, damn heavy. The Puppets and conductor were interesting, but in a way it made the stage a tad bit busy, I wanna see them boys gettin down. Amazing show

cool pics! you definitely checked out most of the people i would be seeing. thanks for those.

thank you very much, although i wish i could've got closer on the main stage, and i wish i had caught M. Ward, De La Soul, and the Secret Machines.

Yeah your pictures are great.  I wish we'd taken pictures at the shows.  I never do that because I never want to miss anything while I'm messing around with a camera.

If only we could project the remembered things we see in our heads...  ;)

bringing the camera was a spur of the moment thing. Most of the time, i would take the pictures during the first two songs and then enjoy the rest of the show, except MMJ, i had to get my camera back out alot, mostly because new puppets kept coming on stage, also when Jim played Bermuda Highway and all the puppets gathered around him.
