Who exactly is responsible for this? MusicToday blames the band's promoters. $9 to ship a ticket is a joke.

yeah, it is 2 day shipping though.

I don't know. I paid it. Ican't wait for that show. The Vic is awesome. Also gives me good reason to come home and see my lady.
The river is moving. The blackbird must be flying.

I think it is 9 dollars for every show.  I bought Maine and Boston and I had to use that shipping opion for both.  That is why I am buying NYC ticket in person.

What a rip off. I've sent things much heavier than tickets to the US from England for a lot less that $9. I've had chinaware sent from the US and paid less than that. Somebody has to make money at every level, don't they?

A $9 shipping charge kind of defeats the purpose of not using TicketMaster to avoid "the high surcharges from other ON-LINE ticket vendors".

I'm very disappointed.

i paid 74 bucks for my John Prine pre-order ticket from ticketmaster, the ticket was actually just 50 bucks, fucking service charges.
Hold my life until I'm ready to use it

yeah but they wont send it out until about 2 weeks before the show. So it defeats the purpose of two day shipping.

regardless, you are right...the Vic is an awesome venue. Wonder what kind of set-up they'll have going this tour.

Yeah, that's pretty bad. For those who live in Chicago, the Vic has a box office window where you can get tickets without the extra BS charges. You've gotta work those angles whenever you can. The Metro has a similar deal. You can save some serious bucks that way...

Bought mine this morning and paid the bloodsuckers their nine bucks...how long has this been going on that there is still no solution to Ticketmaster?

Don't worry, I'll buy you a few beers Barry! ;)

Seriously though, it is an outrageous fee especially when you're only getting one ticket. I hate to say this but even Ticketbastard gives you shipping choices....of course that's after they rape you on the convenience and service charge fees. I don't see a solution to these ticket charges anytime soon.  :-/
But seein you feels good, and its always understood.
That anything much sweeter would make me die.

yea tickets are absurd. i couldn't do the shipping option from direct ticketing bc ill be at school with a PO box, so i had to use ticketmaster.  i paid like 30 for a 20 dollar ticket with all the extra charges and this was TICKETFAST. essentially i paid ten extra dollars to print a ticket in my living room on white paper.  no stub even for the scrapbook, but it was my best/cheapest option.  will call wasn't available.
