yeh, i feel for you man, i'm 17 and it sucks worse than anything, i don't think i could pass for 18, but i am going to try my hardest to get in.  Probably going to wear sunglasses and a hat.

i am buying my ticket this weekend and no matter what i will be down in that area before and after the show. and let's hope Grimey's can score an instore acoustic set. I'm calling them tommorow to ask them about it since i couldn't go last week.

Sorry for my constant bitching about the whole 18+ thing guys and gals, it's just that MMJ means so much to me and my life and it's an awful feeling knowing that 6 months keep me from seeing them.

Specialist, my guess would be that you were trying to hide something if you wear sunglasses and a hat... especially if the doors don't open until 8. I'd say that you could do the hat, but lose the sunglasses.

I e-mailed Grimey's last week and the owner wrote back to me and said that he is good pals with the band and their manager, so he will work on getting a solo JJ set at the store if at all possible.

Hey Specialist, if you can grow anything resembling halfway decent facial hair, I'd say go for it. Just grow as much as you can before October 8. That'll be your best bet. And remember, the more you look like your tryin to hide something, the quicker you'll get caught. My dad once gave me similar advice on stuff like this, with a steaing shoes analogy, although I'm sure he'd never done it.

"If you're gonna steal a pair of shoes, just grab the box and walk out of there like you know what you're doing. No one'll ask questions, you just gotta make sure they don't have reason to think they need to."

Just walk in there with a cigar stub hanging in your mouth, and let them make the assumptions from there. As long as you've got a ticket, and you don't look like a 12 year old, they likely won't bother you.

Plus, if smoking isn't allowed, they'll be more concerned with telling you to put out the cigar than they will to check for ID.

Me and my buddy will probably be at the Atlanta and 2 Tennessee shows, if worse comes to worse, we can muscle you in...

Actually, I'm only 5'5, I'm not much muscle... just a good talker.

i've been there a few times, there is an ausome blues guitarist that plays in front of SF everynight.

i live about a little less than an hour away from Nashville, i drive down a couple times a month. I was going to go tonight and stand outside the Ryman, hoping i could sneak my way in to see Neil Young.
