WOW.  I just got back from Knoxville.

What a night.

It began on 421 going toward tennessee.  I was the DD (unfortunately) and had 3 friends in the car chugging whiskey.  By the time we got to knoxville, they were all fucked up.

The venue was awesome.  We sat on the upper balcony looking over the band.  There were many firsts...

Jim singing without a guitar at all on Wordless Chorus.

One Big Holiday going 2 minutes longer than normal.  I could barely here Jim singing because the crowd sang every note at the top of its lungs.  It was insane.

Jim mentioning that he may of seen crack being smoked (i think that's what he said)

Where to Begin being played...damn that was awesome.

Twas my first time hearing "heartbreakin man" and "picture of you" live.  Very impressed by those.

After the show, I was standing outside smoking a cig, and directly after anytime was finished, Jim came rushing out the back door straight to the BRAND NEW TOUR BUS.  I screamed "awesome show, jim" and he enthusiastically replied "thanks" in mid-jog.

All in all, a fucking awesome set.  New songs rock!  Anyone going to any of the upcoming shows will not be disappointed at all.  You're going to flip nuts.  Wish I could've made it to Nashville...but Knoxville definitely will hold me over.

And, Sweatboard, do you have this show on mp3 or wma by any chance?  I can't run flac files.

QuoteHow was Kathleen's set?

She definitely held it down.  She played about 8 songs, had a great band with her...kind of attractive too [smiley=wink2.gif]

And, no, ratspray, the crunk was not in full effect....thus the DD status that was thrown upon me :-/

Cory Floyd

What a great fuckin' rockin' show that was last night.  I was front and center (well in and out of front and 2nd row area) right in front of Jim and it was a blast.  They rocked my ass off, a little more so than last time at Blue Cats when I was in front too.  Picture of You was great to hear, I still haven't bought At Dawn or Tennessee Fire and wanted to get them both but they weren't at the Merch booth.  Oh well, will have to eBay it or Amazon.  The crowd was great when the lights would hit and they would sing along as loud as they could.  The energy was great in there.  Picked up the new CD, am digging it of course.  Kathleen was great too her music just sort of melts together a little much.
