I will start by saying that My Morning Jacket gets better every time that I am graced with their presence.  I saw the October 15th show in Boston at the Avalon (which is my birthday as well).  My parents bought me the tickets, which I know sounds kinda square, but I am 23 and my parents are 42 and 41 respectively.  We rocked that show harder then anything I have ever been to (which includes bonnaroo, Glastonbury, lolopalooza, isle of wight, Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, Bruce Springsteen, Rush, The Allman Bro., etc.,etc.,etc.) and I have never been more impressed.  I have never been more completely BLOWN AWAY by a show in my entire life. I have been enjoying My Morning Jacket in my area since the release of Acoustic CitsoucA in Braintree, MA.  I was at that show and I have been with them ever since.  Their new release has since then cemented them as my favorite band of all time, thus supplanting Led Zeppelin (and yes I am serious).  Playing guitar and moving from County Kerry to Boston I have learned to appreciate a wide range of music, but I have never experienced anything better then My Morning Jacket.  I have never been rocked so hard.  The Oct. 15th show left my ears ringing, my voice gone for days because I yelled every lyric (yes I know that is annoying) and my body numb. I cannot wait until I see them again and I cannot wait until the world appreciates My Morning Jacket.  THIS BAND IS THE GREATEST THING TO BLESS MUSIC SINCE CHUCK BERRY. I am not joking.

Hold the fort, David Fields!! Do you mean you were at THE live recording of Acoustic Citsuoca?  If so, can you talk about it a little?

And welcome. :)  I think it's awesome that your parents gave you tickets.  That's not square at all.  My folks were at the last show, too. :)

Funny thing is... I took my father to the Portland, ME show this past week.  I think it has a real connect with his generation (he's 49).
