Dear Band,
Thank you for blowing my mind. Thank you for the sax solo on Dondante that raised the little hairs on the back of my neck. Thank you for Golden, because I totally cried. Thank you to Jim for hamming it up for us in the front rows and smiling for pictures but also to the rest of thr boys for rocking so freaking hard that even if you were aaaaaaaall the way in the back, you could be feelin' it. Thank you for making good records and for playing them so lustily and with so much abandon. Thank you for playing a small venue and giving us 100 times our money's worth. I know that y'all aren't super rich and powerful (yet) and that you need to bring home the bacon and so does the road crew, but thanks for having affordable tickets (and merch). Thank you for using American Apparel as you t-shirt provider because they don't run bordertown sweatshops but give all their  employees good wages and daycare for their kids and so that shows you care, MMJ, and that's awesome.
Thank you because my husband saw his first show with me and said it just may be the best show he's ever seen and he's seen Neil Young in '91and other illustrious such acts which you have now eclipsed. Thank you for being so into the music. Thank you for having excellent opening acts in Will Johnson and David Dondero.
Thank you for making my 25th birthday weekend so joyful and delicious.
Thank you for making the 10-hour round-trip from Arkansas to see you seem like a small price to pay for so much crunk. The crunk-per-mile ratio was high...
I know this is long and you're all very busy but you should be so proud of the things you've put out there and maybe us being happy isn't what you're after, but maybe it is, in which case, Band, you've made me so happy.
Come over for dinner and booze anytime, I'll put on some Lil' Jon!

everything sucks. really.

Hey Wellfleet, didn't you just have the greatest time? ;D

I'm sure this message will get to the band!

oh god... i was so emotionally spent after the show. my heart was pounding, my cheeks were hurting from smiling like a silly goof... i felt like i'd just experienced something great, which, of course, i had... my husband wants to drive to Columbia, MO on monday (6 hours away!). i think he may be hooked. My MMJ crusade is doing well.

ive never seen a show at the blue note yet, but columbia is a pretty cool little town, i mean, considering its in missouri.   ;)

oh yeah, if you go, id recommend eating at addison's.  it has excellent food, and i remember it being very very close to the blue note.

Hey wellfleet, it was great to meet you and your hubby at the show - it was the best show I've ever seen too, but every time I see MMJ, it's the best show ever! I also caught myself grinning ear to ear, it was so much fun rocking out with the boys. Sure hope they come to the Cain's in Tulsa in the spring - see you there if it happens - Andrea says hi!
"...it's gonna be great -- I mean me coming back with the band and playing all those hits again"

crispy, was great to meet y'all too. my wife has been raving about the band a long time and has fully converted me. i can't stop thinking about the passion those five guys showed us last night. i'm digging through the sofa cushions to try and scratch out a way to get her to columbia monday, when it's her actual birthday. because getting to hear them in that setting and experience that kind of emotional intensity in music is too rare any more. just a phenomenal, phenomenal night....also thankful for the exposure to will johnson and dondero, who were great...
