was this show taped?  I don't have the exact date, but it was right before they went down to  Austin City Limits Festival.

11-18-2005 Gypsy Tea Room is on archive.org but if you really mean '04 I don't know.
I'm digging, digging deep in myself, but who needs a shovel when you have a little boy like mine.

Yeh, I taped it.  They opened with Oxen and played a delicious 11 minute version of Steam Engine (Jim playing the solo with his back turned towards the audience ala
Stuart Sutcliffe...actually, I think that he was sitting down, I couldn't really see from the back).   Sitter's favorite from that night (and one of the most surprising) was How Do You Know - I remember that there were technical difficulties during Lowdown it turned into like a six and a half minute song!   The show was grossly underattended, and I am sure that many of the would-be attendees were over at the Granada Theatre for Wilco.
This recording, as are all mine, is okay at best.  It's an audience Minidisc recording, I'd probably give it a C+/B- - but of course the band was spectacular as always.  I was totally blown away by Oxen and I listened to it over and over for the next few weeks.   If/when I can find it, I can send it to Kory or Brian if they want to put it up somewhere.

Well, I found this last night and I burned it and it'll go out to Brian either today or Monday.   Here is the setlist:

How Could I Know (Oxen)
Golden
Just One Thing
Lowdown
The Way that He Sings
How Do You Know
One Big Holiday
Strangulation
Dance Floors
Mageetah
Cobra (3/7 of it)
Steam Engine
Run Thru

I listened to it here at work this morning and it sounds pretty decent for my stuff.  I was blown away by Oxen (and this was the first time I ever heard it) - I mentioned yesterday that the crowd was fairly sparse due to Wilco being in town on this night as well (September 17, 2004, Gypsy Tea Room, Dallas, Texas).   MMJ played the Tea Room, not Wilco (for clarification!)   I think this is the show that has a pretty funny audience moment.  Right after Oxen (I think, I haven't listened for it again) some dude down front yells out for The Bear, and he just simply yells "Bad Idea!"  This was the first time I'd like How Do You Know live.  The usual favorites were played:  Golden, Lowdown, Dance Floors, Mageetah)  I noticed that Steam Engine is played at a much slower tempo on this night.   Anyway, thanks to Brian for putting it up there once he gets it, and to Kory for doing the same thing earlier with other shows.     Have fun.

I mailed it to Sweatboard Monday, so it'll probably hit his mailbox either today or tomorrow.   After that it's just a matter of how busy he is.    I haven't told him or anyone else ('til now) but I also included the 4/27/03 Carrboro NC show for downloading purposes.  That show is just a one disc show (75 minutes) but sounds pretty good for my stuff.   13 songs, includes Dance Floors, I Will Sing You Songs, O is the One that is Real (they played this song for a six-year-old who was in the audience with his dad!), One Big Holiday, all of the stuff that they were doing
at the time.   I can't remember the last song (possibly Easy Morning Rebel) but the first song of the encore is The Dark,
and it possibly has the longest-ever introduction of that song.  I think it's two minutes, seven seconds of utter blissful buildup until Jim starts into "trapped in gasoline...."
Thanks again to Sweatboard and Kory for helping me with this stuff.
