Dallas to Nahville 04-20-06

I've only had the chance to see MMJ play twice. I was swept off my feet at ACL Fest, and rocked it out at the Gypsy Tea Room in Dallas last November.

The Rites of Spring Festival in Nashville appears to be a great chance to catch MMJ at a smaller Festival before they embark on their stadium tour with PJ. Who knows what curve balls will be thrown by this baddest band in the land after a much needed respite?

Well my Bro' has had to cancel on me. So I wanted see if there were any other MMJ fans in Dallas wanting to or who were attending this event. Or hell, was there anyone who missed out in H-Town? It would probably need to be a road trip for me unless some cheap air tickets could be found.

Think about it, and any thoughts with My Morning Jacket in the mix, the answer should always be YES.   ;D

What is the Battle of the Bands slot? Is that local acts shreddin' it, or is that the festival bands goofing around and having fun? Please let it be the latter.

Dammmmmmit I want to be at this show.  I hate you all.

You can make it up to me by posting the setlist and telling me all about the show the next day.  (After your hangovers go away of course.  Assholes.)  And I mean several paragraphs, setting the mood, telling me the Jimisms.  (That's what I call Jim's stories in between songs) Every little detail.  Somebody will be recording right? Fucking pricks.  That goes for all of you Coachella-Bonnaroo-PJ attending MFers as well.  

Oh to be a young traveller again.  I wish I was a teacher so I could have festival season off.
