FYI to those of you who have the "InHD" channel, they're playing the Gram Parsons Tribute concert from '04 which features Jim, Keith Richards, Jay Farrar, Dwight Yoakam, Steve Earle, etc.   It's absolutely marvelous, expecially in HD, and Jim's outfit is fantastic.  Definitely check it out if you can, I think it should be replayed intermittently througout the next week or so, I highly recommend you Tivo iit or DVR it.  Watching the Farrar set now and it's awesome.

Once Dylan returns and puts this thing together, Jim's version of 'Dark End of the Street' will be included on the covers version that we hope to assemble and tree.  Jim said some funny stuff (as usual) before his performance.   He said something like "it was kind of like a high school play backstage before the show...all the girls were checking their makeup and the guys were checking their Nudie suits!"
It got a pretty big laugh.   I agree with you, that GP Tribute DVD was awesome.  The only complaint that I had was that it wasn't long enough and that they didn't include both of Jim's song, but I guess beggars can't be choosers.  I am pretty sure that he sang with everyone during the last song or two and there was a pretty good shot (possibly on Ooh Las Vegas, or In my Hour of Darkness) of Jim rocking out while singing.   I also highly recommend, once again, the GP DVD that was released about four weeks ago called 'Fallen Angel'.   Maybe Gram can make some new fans through Jim!     Have fun.

Yeah, I was upset that they didn't include Jim's version of Dark End of the Street, but it's stil pretty great.  Jim is onstage at the end rocking out with everyone.  He's one of the first people to jump up front and start dancing when they have the "finale."  Look forward to the hearing Jim's version of that song...I saw Chris Robinson do it with Gov't Mule live and that was the best cover version of that song that I've heard...but I haven't heard Jim's yet. ;D

I've been wanting to hear that "Dark End of the Streert" for a long time.  Love that song.

Great show, but who decided to let Keith Richards sing?  Especially on Love Hurts.
