VIDEO BLOG - Lollapalooza, Day 1

During a crazy first day at Lollapalooza, Lizzie Goodman [Rolling Stone Magazine] found a surprisingly serene grove in Chicago's Grant Park to chat it up with My Morning Jacket's Jim James. Jim tells Lizzie about his first time (at Lollapalooza 1994, that is) and one of the best shows he's ever seen.

Cheers Laurie!
Like the comment says on the website, I didn't think much of the interviewer but it's always great to see any clips of the band.
God will forgive them. He'll forgive them and allow them into Heaven.....I can't live with that.

Thanks for the link!

I also listened to Calexico's interview and Joey says that he, John, and Jim James have recorded the Dylan song 'Going to Acapulco' for a new Todd Haynes movie called 'I'm Not There.'

WOW.  Has anyone mentioned that yet?  It's news to me.  I love Calexico.

No, not that I know of, this was the first I've heard of it. Great news though, eh?  ;D

Calexico was wonderful at Lollapalooza. I even spied the great Jim James on the side of the stage waiting for their set to begin on Saturday. I thought maybe he'd go up for a song... but no luck! Still, it was nice to see him being a good fan.

How cool.  They should tour together.  Better yet, how about a MEGA tour?  Including: MMJ, Calexico, M. Ward, Andrew Bird, Iron & Wine.   :o
