Anyone know for sure if the Louisville Gardens show will be general admission?  I've been there both ways.  Really hope its a GA show!  Thanks.

what is the gardens like I'm probably going to be at the show, I've tried to find pictures to see how big it is or what to expect.  What is the sound like? if it is anything like the cincinnati gardens (the gardens in my neighborhood) the sound will probably blow.  I don't know whether it is GA or not

Thanks

terrible, terrible venue!! why they chose this dump is beyond me. even the palace is better than
the gardens. barf. you will be dissapointed with the acoustics and the place looks like a high school gym circa 1975. very dissapointed about this venue of choice. this dump is also is home to Ohio Valley Wrestling matches.....

I've always kind of liked the place and they have cleaned it up in the last few years.  I think if its GA it will be great to have the floor open.  Maybe its just good memories from the past but I always thought the sound was decent.  I've seen a ton of great shows there over the years.  Looking forward to seeing it again.

I guess maybe the gardens is bigger then the palace?  I thought the palace was a great venue last year.

Anyways, anyone know what time the presale tickets go on sale on 9/28??

Also, I need five tickets and I think the most you can get is four.

And, really you guys think this will be a GA show???

I doubt it will be GA.  That's just a guess, but why do presale if its GA?

TN_Fire

Both the LEO and Velocity weekly's reported this to be GA but I am doubtful.  Another Q, my 13 year old son is really wanting to see this show because MMJ is all he listens to.  Anyone have an opinion?

By all means! Take him! It's a friendly atmosphere. You'll probably run into some drinking, but that's to be expected. Unless it's an outdoor show, I wouldn't really expect to smell much of any pot-smoke. I wouldn't really expect it too much at an outdoor show either.

But it's definitely safe to take him. He will most certainly thank you for taking him, especially if he's never seen another live band. It would be like going to see Van Halen or Zeppelin or Metallica (back on the Puppets or ...And Justice For All Tour.... perhaps even after the Black Album, but that's pushing it now) for your first live show. You certainly wouldn't have to worry about him turning into an "indie" rocker after that!

I'm really hoping for GA.  Having been to countless shows at the Gardens I thought it would be nice to get a couple of seats on the side and take it all in.  I'm pretty envious though, my first show was the Beach Boys at the KY State Fair in 1978.  God I'm old.

I was rather upset to see that it wasn't at The Palace this year.  I really enjoyed last years set, and it was my first time at the Palace.

Anyone know of any hangouts in the area that will be hit up before the show? afterwards?

Quoteso what time do the presale tickets go on sale tomorrow??

no clue but if it's GA then you could probably just buy them the next day.
unfortunately, I don't think I can make it.  I think it'll be the first louisville show I've missed since 5/2001 and that was when they dressed in costume and Tommy sang Touch Too Much!  If they do something spectacular like that again I'll go over the edge!  :(

So no one knows what time they go on sale. Does anyone have any clue when other shows went on sale?

yieldgirl

Someone needs to tell us when the presales start!

I'm guessing they go on sale at noon, based on the blurb in the News section that says:
"We are pleased to announce My Morning Jacket's Fall 2006 Tour! Pre-sales begin on Thursday, September 14th at 12:00 pm local venue time for select dates."
  - Maybe they always start at noon.

But it's just a guess.  Don't yell at me if I'm wrong.

that was my assumption as well, but I've seen other pre-sale shows start as early as 10 am.

Someone needs to be more on the ball about giving the fans the information they need to get tickets!

That's what I was thinking.  Maybe they're gonna do something special for fans that bought through the presale.  Maybe.  I have no idea.
