Was anyone particularly excited or disappointed about where Okonokos is playing in their city? What kind of places is it showing?
I was assuming that in Austin it would be playing at the Alamo Drafthouse, a really cool theatre that has lots of local events and shows many strange and independent movies. The best part is you can order dinner and drink lots of beer during the movie. It's always a fun crowd.
Instead, Okonokos will be showing in the ghetto mall movie theatre where I have yet to see anyone over 15 go to see a movie. Needless to say there's no drinking and it's not the kind of atmosphere I was hoping for, but I will be there and extremely excited anyway. The only reason I can think of for this bizarre choice is the fact they have some kind of special projector that's better than anywhere else in town. I'm hoping it will be transformed into a cool place rather than escape the notice of everyone but die-hard fans. I have a feeling it will be empty and weird. But no matter; I still can't wait!

In St. Louis it's at the Moolah Theatre.  This is the place where we had our Lebowski Fest.  The theatre has nothing but leather couches and there are a couple of bars in the building.  Perfect place.  Perfect.
I'm digging, digging deep in myself, but who needs a shovel when you have a little boy like mine.

Okonokos isnt playing anywhere in my state, so im pretty disapointed about that. I am considering making the drive to either Nashville or Atlanta.

The choice of venue here sucked as well ( only for the simple fact that it's not a "Brew & View" place ) it's actually
a really nice, older theatre just south of the city of Chicago.

If it doesn't extend past my "bedtime" I'll be there.....I'll be there anyway, who am I kidding?

I am a little bummed that the screening is not going to be at a nice little theatre here in the city, but out in the burbs.
Hell, I would travel to the end of the earth to see our pals.
who else from Chi town is going to attend?

Can't decide if I want to see Okonokos in Louisville or in Nashville. Will someone tell me what the theatres are like? I heard The Belcourt is badass.

Stonybrook is a nice theatre.  All of the modern things you look for in a theatre.  No alcohol unfortunately though.  But there's a steak and shake nearby.   ;)

I've quite honestly never heard of the theater where it is screening. I was hoping for the MusicBox or some grand old theater but quite honestly, I'm just glad it's playing so close.

We'll have a contingent from Chicago (and other places) going, can't wait!

But seein you feels good, and its always understood.
That anything much sweeter would make me die.

Uh, is it October 30th yet?
