I went to the 2d night.  One of the best shows I've seen in a while.

The crowd was very quiet and the theatre had great accoustics.  I've never heard Jim's voice sound so clear.

Loved hearing Old Sept. Blues.

Prine was awesome, as well.

Jim and Carl came out during the encore for Paradise.  $$$

I cannot believe that people are leaving after Jim and not even listening to a few songs by John Prine.....dude is a legend.

To own his each but that makes me feel old.

Some people left right after Jim's set, but more people came between sets than left early.

One of the best matches ever, for sure.

Right up there with  Flair/Steamboat, Starcade '86, and Flair's classic feud with Dusty Rhodes.

I actually left before anyone took the stage (but that's just me, you know...).

I'm actually heading back out to the venue tonight, so I can leave before John Prine comes back around next year.

Just to make everyone even more mad.

Hey - I haven't been on the forum for a long time, but I went to the second show and it was incredible! I did see some people leave after Jim, but I also overheard some Prine fans saying, "how was the opener? i was drinking wine in the lobby." To which another said, "He was okay. He could've pepped it up a little." I also heard people saying Jim must be "uncomfortable with his voice because of all of that effect he had on it." Basically, people suck. It was great music all night with one legend and one legend-in-the-making. I did enjoy it though when an couple in their sixties asked me if I knew who this Jim James was. They asked me what they should buy because he sounded "just beautiful." I'll never forget that show...
