I'm sitting here drinking Bourbon and smoking Drum cigs, and listining to Tennessee Fire.

And I'm just thinking...I wonder what Jim and co. think while they play songs like "old sept" and "Nashville" live in this day and age.  Ya know?  Think about if you had written songs like those in 1999 and then playing them full band style 7 years later.  Do they still have the same meaning?  Do you think of them as crowd pleasers?  Huh?

Too bad Jim doesn't post here......I'm sure he reads the forum.

Hm...this made way more sense in my head last night.  I've gotta lay off the gin.... :-/

This thread really shouldn't get going... :-/

I see where you are going with this.   These are songs that I love to have on live bootlegs but I can understand how the average fan might think of them as a "downer" so to speak when they are just looking to rock out, ya know.   Personally, I want these songs, as a small acoustic set from Jim.  I think the fact that they seperated out the "Acoustic Chorale" from the rest of OKONOKOS proves that even the band questions whether or not they should be in the middle of the show.

I say, bring on the Gin Triple G!  It's where the best discussions start.
I'm digging, digging deep in myself, but who needs a shovel when you have a little boy like mine.

If you say so.  I will continue drinking, BH, based on your advice.  Thanks!
