uh, are  you serious?  the best venue in Denver second only to the Gothic.  I truly hope you are correct sir.

cheers.

David A

I hope that i am correct as well.  i think you will be happy

mcarroll

I really hope you are correct, too.  Where did you get that info?

David A

i'd prefer to not give out that info, but i would venture to say that he would not tell me if it was not true.

this would make sense, as Jim said in the recent radio show (LA KCRW I think) that they would be hitting the west coast in Jan/Feb.  While Denver is not exactly west coast, it's close enough :)

I'm thinking about traveling west for these shows.

This is a GA show in a 1100-seat venue.

Will both nights sell out? Is it worth doing the presale?

A remodeled vaudevill house and movie house, it sounds nice.

Is it really a great place to see a show?

yes they will sell out.  I would get tix ASAP.  You probably have a  few weeks before they sell out.   Maybe more.  Keep in mind that the shows are on a Fri/Sat, so more peeps will be coming than a midweek show.

The Ogden - is truly a beautiful venue.  I'm shocked that they are playing there as it is indeed, very small.  Only saw one show there, David Byrne in 2004, that was one of the best shows i've ever seen.  Very old, very vibey....perfect for the boys and their music.  GA show so getting a good seat will require getting there early.   There are a lot of music venues in Denver/Boulder and this is one of the best, if not the best.

The Ogden is actually the only venue in the Denver / Boulder area that I have not been to yet.  I hear it is a pretty cool place.  You probably don't need to worry about buying tickets presale, just don't wait too long to buy them.  The last two times they've played Colorado, it has been at the Fox Theater in Boulder (holds about 700 people) in 2004 and 2005 and sold out both times a day or two before the show I think.  That being said, they have gained alot of new fans this year, and there are likely to be more people at a show in Denver just because there are more people in Denver.
