So soon after payday, know it seemed a shame!

QuoteHey Dave Crosby, yes, it was very dusty last year, but I've been to Bonnaroo 4 years now and that was the first time I experienced that.  '05 was a wet muddy mess!!

I prefer the mud and clean air over the dust anyday...i had to go bandito style last year.

It's true, i saw it!   I coughed up hippy dirt for two months afterwards.
IT'S ALL FUCKIN' CHEESE!!

im so sick of people bitching about line ups at fest's.  If you dont want to go to the show, dont go to the show - i'm sure there will be someone else playing at the same time.  Plus, Coachella, Roo and Lolla, dont just let anyone headline - who ever headlines is gonna throw the fuck down.  I'll be at metallica head banging! Then i'll chill out to some sigur Ros and then dance all night to STS9.  open your ears people, it's just music - its all fun!
God damn those shaky knees.

ok, so, i think i'm going. a buddy just called and he wanted to see the jacket more than i did. so now i have to go to get my fanhood back. plus he said he would drive.

questions...how long do you think they'll play for? another long epic set? or an hour set like at lolla? anything i should know about getting tickets? i've never been, so bare with me...more questions to come...thanks in advance...

More questions from the unaware.  How late into Sunday does it usually go?
I'm not saying it's easy...walking into sweet oblivion.

Over the weekend I tried to book a hotel room on hotels.com,  No such luck within 20-30 miles,  My wife is not very big on camping. Folks must book their rooms a year in advance for the show. I will keep tryin.

It's pretty much done inside centeroo after the headliner ends and a lot of people leave...but there arwe always parties going on somewhere in the campround all night.

well, Walter, that's a long haul but i'd say its definately worth it (i'm guessing...the longest i've driven is an hour plus 3-8 in line).

We won't really know how long they'll play until the schedule comes out.  If it's late night (please, oh please!) it will be long.  If there's someone playing after them it will be one set w/o encore.

I'm hoping for the boys to close sunday night. Another 2-3 hour set into the night only this time on the main stage!

My guess is they will be sub headliner, probably before PJ. If so...about 1 1/2 hours. I doubt they will be late night again. If they put them on at the same time as Sigur Ros my head will explode.

Check out the Lars Ulrich interview at bonnaroo.com...I guess I feel a little better about them coming after watching it.  I probably won't go see them and I'll be disappointed if they headline a night...but I can accept their attendance.

Could've done without the continuous Napster bitching, though...let it go Lars.

Judging by this poster, Kanye's set might be worth checking out...

In watching that interview with Lars Ulrich, what an asshole...........he is exactly what an asshole rock star is.......hes the fucking definition......YOUR BAND HASNT DONE ANYTHING WORTH SHITTING ABOUT IN 15 YEARS......get over yourself.....you are a lame drummer and you wish your band was bad ass but all you do is fight about what color your panties are, FUCK YOU METALLICA!!!!!!!!!!! (ps.....dont care that they are going to be at Bonnaroo, I will be there, but do you ever just have straight up nothing but hate for a band.......because I do for Metallica)

Well, I won't be going to Bonnaroo, it'd be kind a haul for me. I do think that the line-up looks pretty solid though, and if I lived anywhere East of the Mississippi I'd be there.

Yes, Lars is a major ass hole, and Metallica's output has slowed and album quality declined over the past decade plus. To many, they'll be a let-down and outsiders at a festival like Bonnaroo, but they are still ripping live performers, and if you care to join them for their set, they'll rock your fucking face off.
