the boss hasn't had an opener in over 2 decades and now my morning jacket have made the decision to drop an opening act (which i am VERY excited about) as a part of their current tour. i mean, who on this forum wouldn't want to see them play a 3 hour set? (i know some of you lucky ones already had the chance to at bonnaroo the year before last, but you're a minority). anyone think this is a permanent decision? have they reached the point where they no longer can squeeze another band's 45 minute set into their alloted time?

I'm digging, digging deep in myself, but who needs a shovel when you have a little boy like mine.

The DARK

Maybe they should just play dusk-to-dawn every night. Get some tiny band like U2 or Radiohead to play a small set in the waning hours of the day.  ;D
