The Greek (Berkley! 9/19)...California folks?

My first post. Hooray! I love this band and have been completely obsessing over them for over a year. i don't know where they've been all my life but damn....just saw them at bonnaroo and uh, MMJ rules the world. not sure if you guys knew that or not....

so, the real Greek. who's going? i would love to hear from some california fans. im in colorado but moving back to the bay area in august.

I'll be there for my 4th MMJ show(if you count the Bridge School Benefit as two concerts).  I also saw them at the Fillmore on 12/29/06.  I had tix for NYE but 12/31/06 was my grandmother's 80th birthday.  I couldn't miss that.

I'm excited, but it's a distant excitement since it's still almost three months away.  The Greek is an awesome place to see a show.

You might want to spell Berkeley right if you're going to call it the real Greek.   ;)

One of my best friends is getting married the next day in Illinois....GRRRR.  I have been so excited for this show and think i wont be able to go.  Ohh well...but i may have some extra tickets for sale if anyone needs any.  

PS my brother owns a the club "The Down Low" on shattuck ave.  I was gonna pre party there and make him bumb MMJ tracks, but now i dont think i will be able to.  ohh well...

I am not from Cali, but I will be flying down from Portland for the Berkeley Greek shows  :D.  And will have a Cali contigency that will consists of many, many fun peeps.  I am most excited as I have never seen a show there and I hear such good things about the venue.  I've tried to see a few shows there, but nothing worked out (until now  [smiley=2vrolijk_08.gif])

I'll be front and center for the greek show. I also saw them at Bonnaroo, NYE in 06, plus at lollapalooza, opening for dylan in colorado, and in santa barbara.

My wife and I will be there, making the trip down from Sacramento. The Greek is an AWESOME venue...up in the hills, at the top of the Cal campus. If you don't mind a 15-20 minute walk, you can even take BART to the show. I've seen some great stuff up there...Radiohead, Mark Knopfler, Arcade Fire...every year they bring in top notch bands to play.

Hey Funky, I know The Down Low. Used to be some good Reggae and Dancehall stuff there. How long has your brother owned the place? It's probably been 6 years since I've been there...
