QuoteWe found a new hotel to stay in and it's not very farm from MSG. It's called the Carlton Arms, it has a really cool story behind it. A friend of mine stayed there and he said it's a really sweet place. www.carltonarms.com

Quotewhere did your response go?

I must of forgot to scroll down enough, its in the middle.

That sounds really cool....I'm always skeptical of hotels in NYC that cheap but the reviews sound good.  I'm sure it will be fine for the trip.

I usually am to, but I spoke with a couple that stayed there and they loved it. They said the area is nice and safe. It looks like such a cool place.

I'm going to stick with the Gershwin since a bunch of people are staying there and its closer but this does sound like a great deal..I'll consider this place for my next trip to the city.

Just FYI, for RCMH I stayed at a supersweet little Euro-style hotel called the Chelsea Lodge on W20th btwn 8th & 9th. Perfectly clean and nice, my room was just big enough - probably could have had a friend with me and still been okay in there, but certainly no parties were going to have been thrown in the space.  Most rooms have communal toilets, but they have in room sinks/showers. There are only a couple of "suites" which have their own toilets.  It was totally great and well located.  I highly recommend it. They still had single rooms available for NYE when I was there in June.  Oh, it was $125 a night.
My jacket's gonna be cut slim and checked

Oh I won't forget and I do indeed appreciates it   8-).

I'm simply waiting for CC Baxter to come online and tell me that because I'm such a wonderful fan he happens to have one free ticket to MSG in the PIT!  I will then fly on my own two wings straight into Manhattan and land on your couch. :D

EDIT: in fact that ticket doesn't even have to be free, just in the pit.  ;)

Hey Riny, CC, Sorry I sort of feel weird calling you by your name because we haven't actually met, but seriously, I'm strong and I can carry anvil cases if need be.  Honestly.  I'm not joking.  Plus, I know how to make cranes out of paper! Or I can knit one, whichever is preferred.  Amazed? Surely, I bet... ;) BTW, how is the other side of the pond these dayz? :-[

It's not supposed to be a fancy or extravagant hotel. It's a little hole in the wall place where you can pay next to nothing for clean sheets and hot water.
