QuoteAnybody booked a room yet? I am looking at The Courtyard or The Residence Inn, they are about the same price and walking distance. Any ideas?

Let me know which one you pick... I'll need a room, I think it'd be fun to get near ya'll.

I justed booked ours at the Galt. It's close, and expedia and a couple other sites are having a summer special right now for there. It's also one of three smoking optional places I found nearby, if that matters to anyone.

I'm digging, digging deep in myself, but who needs a shovel when you have a little boy like mine.

Go with the Res Inn. I used to work for Marriott and they were always more comfortable I thought. The rooms have a real kitchen and you can pack shitloads of people in them (and beer in the normal size fridge).

Of course I can expect to see you there.......?
I wish my good man, I wish. I'm not even allowed to go to the KC show even though I could hitch a ride with BH or Omaha and I could stay with my family. Total bummer. I'll just live vicariously through y'all.

Myself, GivenToFly, and another friend will be flying in from Philly. Its going to be a whirlwind. We leave Philadelphia at 10 Saturday and arrive at noon. Grab some food and a few drinks, head to the show, back out to the bars until they kick us out, then back to the airport, because our return flight leaves at 6AM Sunday. We'll be back in Philly 22 hours after we left, not even a full day lol.
Say friend, you got any more of that good sasparilla?

Maybe it'll be like the movie Groundhog Day,and you'll get to relive the show every 24 hours. :)
Someday we'll find it, the rainbow connection,

We really should get a huge group picture. We need to set a forum record for photo with the most Jacketeers.

Your itinerary serves as a monument of dedication that fans should strive to emulate. I will see you there!

That's gonna be one sloppy, smelly plane ride home though.

The wind blew me back, via Chicago, in the middle of the night.

I was just in Louisville this past weekend.  I was put up at the Galt house.  Its about 4 blocks down on Main St.  The room that we got had a living room (with pull out queen couch) and also 2 queen sized beds in the same suite.

My room was compt so we asked how much the rate would normally be.  The desk lady said around $180.  Thats not to bad if you have a few people going in.

The hotel is very swank and has several bars in the place.  One is bourbon bar called "jockey silks"  very cool place.

Anyone know the best way to walk to waterfront park from The Residence Inn Marriott on E Market?
