QuoteI know it's all fun and games right now, but I need to ask a serious question:

(spies...close your eyes)

What kind of atmosphere will there be for the show?  And what I mean is, will this be anything like a Bonnaroo show, since it's outside?  How nutty can we get?  No matter what, I'm going to be highly medicated with good happy stuff, but I was just kind of wondering about the type of crowd b/c my girlfriend is sorta paranoid that people will think she's some crazy drug fiend.  I have confidence, b/c MMJ fans are nice folks.

i had a huge reply to this (with links) and it said i couldnt do that for my first post... so this will b emy first post and then i will retype all the info cuz it deleted my whole post.

you neednt worry about anything, the ville is a very laid back, liberal town and you will be able to get away with just about anything.  i would say a good percentage of people there will be engaging in illicit activities and the lawn is big enough that if you need to get away from the crowd you will be able to and still hear the music as clear as a bell.  i will be down there with probably around 40 people and all of us will be off our faces so if you need some friendlies, just look for a huge group of people who look very out of their minds.

as far as the peeps with kids, the playground is really nice and is only about 150-200 yds from the stage so you will be able to still hear the music from there.  also as said above, the lawn is huge so you can always hang out in the back on a blanket.

someone said before there will only be 8000 tix sold, i am highly suspicious (see what i did there) about this claim.  the great lawn can easily hold 30-40,000 or more people and im assuming they will continue to sell tix until showtime.  there were probably 25-30,000 folks at the 4th of july free parliament show and it was not crowded at all.

Thanks LD.

The Nashville show will be my first ever MMJ experience.

These two shows, back to back, outdoors with a full moon.  I can hardly contain myself!

Bring an extra pair of underpants...and maybe a new face.  After all this is said and done, you'll probably need to change both.  :-/  Just sayin'.

:)

Thank you for clearing that up, officially.  I have been battling that small little question for years and years and years-never occured to me to do a wikipedia search.  Anyway, when I have to use that little phrase, from now on, I can say it with confidence and not have to mumble out the remaining syllable anymore.   :)

Happy I could make at least one worthwhile contribution to the boards.

I have kind of a random question.  Are the mosquitoes bad up there?  In Florida, if you're near water at sunset you're going to get eaten up.  Will I need to pack some "Off"?

thatswhatshesaid

are coolers allowed in and if so, what can the coolers contain as far as beverages go?

you may want to think about it, i wouldnt say they are as bad as florida but it is going to rain tomorrow and that usually brings them out... as far as saturday though the weather will be perfect.
