Just got home a couple hours ago.   Got the kids to bed five minutes ago.   I can't wait to read all of this thread but for now all I can say is wow.  What a weekend.  The show, the wonderful souls, the city.  Wow.

I'm digging, digging deep in myself, but who needs a shovel when you have a little boy like mine.

ill add my experience, here we go.....

got there late thursday night.... drove down from albany, not that bad, but still, a drive..into uncharted territories.

HAD A FUCKING EPIC TIME. my friday stared with me getting owned by a glass spinny door. yeah, i suck, but i really got owned by that thing... right there in times square, at least 100 people saw it. owned, by the door to that 4 story red lobster. they have good bisque, and shrimp, and biscuits. red lobster biscuits are good, especially in times square.

then we walked... went pee in that giant mcdonalds, even tho i wasnt a customer there (suck it you giant sign that told me i couldnt pee unless i bought a sangwich). the bathroom was clean, wow.

walked by rcmh, apparently minutes after mmj graced the rooftop, damn.

walked to central park with my little gang of buddies. on the map it said there was a castle. so we walked there. NOT impressive. you shouldn't call yerself a castle unless you really are a castle. altho i did see a guy there with an 'abide' shirt on....yknow, lebowski style. i was SO close to yelling 'AND A GOOD DAY TO YOU SIR!' off the top of the 'castle' but i didnt. also saw a native american with a violin yelling and dancing in a tunnel, and a cool old man roller skating while balancing a water bottle on his head. yes.

so then we walked back to rcmh and had a beer at 'johnny utah's' and i peed in the flooded restroom and then sat on the side of the building till rcmh let me in. awesome people, awesome lobby, and awesome everything. i love those little stirrer thingies they gave us, spin the top and it turns blue. the crowd shoulda used those more during the show, they were cool. like, during PWW i wish all the lights went off and everyone lit up their drinks. but anyways, the show was awesome, my only complaint is that i wish jim ran down off the wall during run thru so that he coulda screamed at the scream part. but ill take a no scream for a wall climb, it was awesome watching him rock out up there.

so yeah, the walk home is another story... too long for this post... lemme just say that i am a pastrami sandwich champion. i didnt really get to meet any of you guys, which i regret, but i did have to walk my gang of buddies around, so i didnt have much time to chat.

see y'all at msg on nye. :D

Ms. Yvon...I love you.  I wasn't there, but I have the ability to project myself to certain places and events if given details.  Thank you.

I started out near the back of the orchestra, but wasn't thrilled with the location. So a few songs before the "set break" I moved up to 2nd mezzanine and managed my way to the front of the section, with nothing in between me and the stage. I felt godlike standing up there playing air guitar, looking out over the crowd below and at those guys killing it on stage. I was sober, but felt like I was on really strong ecstasy. It was a truly incredible experience. Radio City Music Hall was a church on Friday night, and the Jacket boys delivered one of the most moving sermons this guy has ever experienced. Great crowd, great vibe, all expectations blown away.

Highlights:
Phone Went West, The Way He Sings, and from Bermuda Highway to the end of the show. Although I think I played the best air guitar of my life during Lay Low, and thought about trying to fly off the mezzanine during Run Thru.

I still can't believe I was there.

You know I just want to Thank You... for thinking of me.

Funny you say that .....

.... Because at least twice the lights made me feel like I was tripping balls ......

..... Hmmmmmm .... I wonder if that elderly lady bartender downstairs at RCMH dosed me ......
Thank you .... You've been a lovely audience ....I'll be here all week .... Try the veal!

Hey, thanks for posting this!  That's me with the red hair worshipping Jim!!  ::)

What a fantastic night!  I just got back into the real world and haven't read much of the goings on here, except to say Ms. Yvon, Carl's pick is the same as Jim's - with the herons!

And, BH, how awesome to hang out with you!  I hope you made it back to Sean's okay. :o :o  PM your address so I can send your poster!!! :-*

the forum.  ;)  I've seen a lot of people
walking around the city in neckbraces in
the last couple of days.  i took some pics
but most didn't turn out too good.

Love that red pick Sean.  So sweet.

I guess a good way to sum up my thoughts on the show would be this:

I expected 3 plus hours.

I expected lots of special guests.

I expected several cover songs.

I got none of the above and it didn't matter one bit.

It was just five guys, playing there own songs and giving it everything they had.  No intermission, no long encore break, just non stop fucking muscial mayhem.   Oh, what a night.

Sean, Colleen, VC, Reeni, Dark, Ms. Y, Crispy, Pennylane, thanks for making it extra special.   Sorry I missed a lot of the others as well.   Sean said he ran into Elizanne33 and a few more.   I guess I will just have to meet the rest of you at the next show!

Like I told Sean, I will remember that weekend for the rest of my life.  More because of the people I met than the show itself.
