Just wondering if anyone has attempted to contact Ticketmaster to see if they will be refunding the price of the ticket for the Iowa City show.  Since the show wasn't actually canceled beforehand, I don't know how they handle these situations.

This in an email from the Chicago theater:

Dear Valued Patron:

Please be advised that the My Morning Jacket performances, originally scheduled for October 9 and 10, 2008 at the Chicago Theatre, will be postponed. The dates will be rescheduled so please keep your tickets as they will be honored at the rescheduled shows.

For further information, you may visit www.MyMorningJacket.com or www.TheChicagoTheatre.com for updates.

We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused you and look forward to your continued patronage of the Chicago Theatre.

Sincerely,

The Chicago Theatre

I called and they said no refunds until the new dates are solidified.

I have multiple tix for both nights for friends in from Switzerland.  Thing is, they won't do "partial" refunds.  So, I either eat two tix each night, or void out all 8 tix I have and hope I get some later.

Not exactly a fan friendly policy, but perhaps some folks here will need the extras once the new dates hit.

My wife and I are still flying in from the west coast and we also have tickets for both nights in which we will try to get a refund. Would love to make the rescheduled dates (when they come out) but can't afford a second outing.

Just hate the thought of giving up 2 nights of blissful music but at least someone who was not able to get tickets the first time will be able to score some sweet seats.

As Tiger Woods says, "It is what it is..."

We're still going and we're still going to be in an "Evil Urges" mood no matter the circumstance.

Good luck to everyone trying to get a refund from TicketScamster, we'll try our best as well.

It sucks if youre making the trip, and I have tix and live a couple hours away from chicago, but by the time this show is rescheduled, so I might be in the same boat

Either way, Im sure youre gonna be able to find someone to sell the tix too

By the way youre describing it here, its sold out already, so I wouldnt worry about Ticketmaster

Though no doubt, they are bastards

i dont think were getting any money back from the iowa city show which im not happy about.  im also not happy that they are not flat out refunding chicago.  if its not on a weekend im not gonna be thrilled.  i wish in that message they would have confirmed that they would reschedule iowa city...  :(

In fewer words, they said theyd make up the IC show

The situation sucks, but Im in the same boat as you dude. I was at IC, have tix for CHI, and am moving back east in a month, so probably worse off than you. Im frustrated and disappointed as fuck, but I have no ill regards/regret to the band or being refunded.

In regards to Chicago, if its not Sold Out, it is/was very close to it. The fact that theyll likely honor tickets to the original show is really more beneficial to those who have tix, than those who dont.

Just look at they guy who posted above you, he wants tix.

You wont have any problem unloading your tix if need be, so quit complaining
