Hands up whose excited?  Not long to go now.  Including Big Day Out's, supporting Neil, and solo shows I'll be seeing the boys 8 times in 10 days.  Gotta be happy with that!!!  :D

Anyone else traveling around?

I'll be seeing the Sydney show at the Metro, BDO and Neil Young at the Sydney Entertainment Centre. I am sooooooo super excited.

Jealous though. Eight times?!?!?! :o
Lucky....

That's AMAZING, ralph - have fun!!!   :D
if it falls apart or makes us millionaires

If the Aussie tour is getting closer that means that the Japan tour is too!!!  :D

8 times in 10 days?! That's got to be a record?!!  :o  [smiley=thumbsup.gif]
God will forgive them. He'll forgive them and allow them into Heaven.....I can't live with that.

I think I'm going to fly to Australia and steal your tickets. What's your address and what are your work hours? Also, if you have an alarm or a vicious dog, please let me know.

ralph

Ha Ha xmascriminal!!  These tickets are under heavy security.  No dogs, but a fairly unfriendly and grumpy cat called Thurston.  You'll need to go through him first.

Should be a great two weeks though.  All up over 11 days along with the MMJ gigs, there's Neil Young 6 times and throw in a Ryan Adams show on the day I get back home and its pretty much my idea of what heaven would be like.  Neil is the motivation behind all the travelling as he's pretty much god in my book.  But MMJ as support is as perfect a match as I could think of.  42 sleeps...

Flying in from San Francisco for these shows.

Hitting the Metro and Sydney shows. Seen Neil Young a bunch, pretty much paying $100 to see MMJ play 1 hour at that show, oh well, worth it.

Hyped to hear Mahgeeta close the house from down under.

I'm getting so hyped for these shows.  Working through the xmas period so I'm able to take the two weeks off work so I dont have to worry about that crap during the two weeks off these shows.

Planes booked, hotels booked, just got to make it through the next 39 days!!!

For those flying in to Sydney, and those already there, anyone interested in meeting up for a drink before the Metro show?  Can any locals recommend a good spot close to the venue?

Cool..., looks like I'm gonna have a conversation with myself in this thread!!  Not to worry...

Hey Ralph, what songs are you looking forward to seeing on the Aussie tour?

Thanks for asking Ralph.  I'm really hoping to see Steam Engine at least once.  I'd also love to see the guys pull out Masterplan and Easy Morning Rebel.

Anyone hoping for anything in particular?

30 days!!  :D

I would love to see Strangulation! and Dancefloors.
As for covers, Makes No Difference and Get Down On It would be nice.
Here's hoping the band might see this.

I looked up the Metro site and the show isn't sold out. How many people do you think will turn up to these side shows?

I've never been to the Metro in Sydney before so I dont know how many it holds.  Is it a good venue to see gigs at?  The Billboard in Melbs holds about 900.  Its not sold out either which surprises me.  Tickets were only $50 which is very cheap these days.

The way the shows are spaced with the MMJ headlining shows before the Neil shows in both cities there's no chance for those who are impressed when they support Neil to come along which is a shame.  I think they'll go down really well with the Neil crowd.

Did you see them last time they were out weeniebeenie?

I've never been to the Metro but my sister says it's pretty small. Holds a couple of hundred people according to her memory.

I didn't see them last time they were here but I heard about it from a lady who works at Love Police who brought them out last time.
She said the show was awesome but hardly anyone showed up so she was given tickets by the company and got in for free.

I do hope Neil brings them out for atleast one song during his shows.
Cowgirl In The Sand would be awesome but I think I'm dreaming on that one!

You better give full reports for these shows for those of us on the other side of the world.  :)

Not that I'm able to go or anything  :'(, but I just noticed that for the shows at the Metro Theatre and Billboard, only people residing in Australia may purchase tickets.  Anyone know what that's about?

For some reason, I can't stop laughing due to GoBears picture of a bear.  The face on that bear is just way too funny.  ;D

ah... something to amuse while I'm on hold with MetLife (who owes my company some money)   :D

I would love to see a show in Australia some day.
