Salvador Sanchez

Just got my ticket from the show here in Philly.
I use an ultralite wheelchair due to a neurological condition. I mention this because I usually have to keep my mouth firmly shut when people talk about struggling to get good seats at concerts because, in all honestly, they treat me like a king at concerts.
I saw OCMS and Gillian and Felice Bros at the Electric Factory and they put me in the VIP area, as well as at the Flaming Lips show.
I got Parq Circ Sec D Row Y. I hope it's a good spot, but seriously anywhere where I can hear YY AND M Ward is maybe the best place in the world.

BTW I am new here, is anyone else here from Philly? I just moved here from Louisiana and was siked to find out this show is a block away from my apartment!h

Welcome Sal San!   Can I call you Sal San?  I know there are several people around here from the great city of Philly.   I'm from St. Louis and also another place called "Jealous of you and your damn MOF ticket."   ;)
I'm digging, digging deep in myself, but who needs a shovel when you have a little boy like mine.

MOF gets me through my day.

anybody going to the seattle show?  i'm about to buy a ticket, but none of my friends want to go, as none are huge fans and the tickets are a bit pricey.

i'm thinking of flying solo. none of the seats online are too great, so if anybody has an extra they are looking to unload, or needs a showgoing pal, let me know.  otherwise, i'll just pick up a single in the next couple of days.

by the way, this is my first year living in seattle and there is so much good music coming through this fall.  on the calendar i have pearl jam, deer tick, frightened rabbit, great lake swimmers, crooked still, jason isbell, dinosaur jr., chris smither, bobby bare jr., assembly of dust, MOF, karl denson, and built to spill.  i obviously can't afford to go to most of those, but i do have tickets for built to spill, who i've never seen before.  excited about that and MOF.

take it easy.

Other than Neil, MoF and, to a lesser extent, Wolfmother, that lineup is HORRIBLE. Chris Martin? Jimmy Buffett? Sheryl Crow?  Adam fucking Sandler? If I end up in Hell, they're going to have this lineup playing 24 hours a day.

OUCH!  Get off my toes!

I would give anything to see Adam fucking Sandler perform music live.  I like watching it on video, it's that good.  And I bet he and Jim would be an awesome goofball team back stage...or on stage, perhaps.

i love that you're so passionate about that, but uh uh, i'd like to see Jim James and Jim Gaffigan team up, though.
but come on...there's nothing sexy about poop. Nothing.  -bbill

Sorry.  The extra Boston MoF ticket is going to my mom, who turns 65 on the day of the show!  See ya' in Beantown!
The fact that my heart's beating is all the proof you need.

I just left Philly. I stand by my statement that if PA wasn't responsible for a wealth of beer in this nation, we'd have no use for it. I'm not sure what venue the Philly show is, but as far as medium/larger venues go, I avoid Electric Factory because they act like they're babysitting you, but the Tower Theater has had some of the best shows I've ever attended.

If you like beer, make sure you head over to that bar behind the Courthouse as it's one of, if not the oldest running tavern in the US. Also, Monks' cafe is decent but can be touristy, and Good Dog Bar is also well, good.

What are we to expect with this tour? Yes, they'll play the albums, but will it be like the last time around? Will each member get to showcase some of their own work apart from MOF?

My husband and I have gone to the bridge school shows for the last 11 years straight.  We both agreed since the lineup is so very weak this year, we're cutting back to Saturday only.  I shall be drinking in the bar for many of the acts.

I believe someone posted that they will be playing the album but each member will play some of their own stuff as well.  A good length show
Oh I'll never say I knew you, but my heart can't wait to meet you on the other side

They said in a recent interview it will be a lot like the original tour, they'll do some solo stuff, some duets, and some playing all together.  My guess is they'll spend more time together and less individually this go 'round since they have a full album together now, but that's just a guess.

I hope someone records the Bridge School gig since it will probably be a little different to all the other shows.  Everything is supposed to be acoustic for that show right?
I'm digging, digging deep in myself, but who needs a shovel when you have a little boy like mine.

Janet

It is largely, mostly acoustic.  There is a bit of fudge factor however on the part of some acts.
