During last nights webcast, I think Conor sounded the best (consistently) out of everyone.

i had zero knowledge of oberst before seeing them on halloween...other than brief research which revealed that my 26-year-old niece is a fan (big surprise), and most guys want to punch him in the face.  so i went with an open mind, yet fully prepared to dislike the guy as soon as he gave me a reason.

and i have to say, other than that one rather unfortunate duet, he didn't suck.  i thought soul singer, hit the switch, and another travelin song were most excellent, and his quieter stuff was pretty strong, although it took jim to save lime tree, imho.

That's about where I came from background wise, and just about where I concluded after the show, too.

I liked soul singer so much I bought the mp3 track.    Wasn't as wild about the album version and now I'm out $0.99 ...  :'(

Philly was awesome. A bit short and Jim didn't play wonderful, which I really wanted to hear, but whatever. Also, Kerrie and I met Will Johnson before the show at this Irish bar, super nice guy!

There were a few I really wanted to hear (Temazcal, I Will Be There, Sandman, Brakeman,) that werent played but the show was so good that I can't really say I mind.

Did that bar happen to be Fado's? I thought I saw him, we stopped in for a quick drink, but it was pretty dark in there.

I was hoping to hear Temazcal too. I'm happy I heard At Dawn though. Yes it was Fado's. He was very very nice.

yup, it was. You probably saw us too, we were there the whole time he was, he left before us, I talked to him for a sec when he left as well I was outside smoking. Wish I would have known! I had a black sweater on and Kerrie is blonde and she had black on as well. We probably saw each other!
