Thanks for this, buymycar!  I don't know if I can buy them today, though...does anyone know if they'll go up in price over time?

Love how MMJ is first on the list...Rightfully so. They are at a point in there career where they tell venues where they are playing. Truely an A-list band.

From might be driving from CT to CA for a job... Hoping for a set of west coast dates. :)

Eric, 'Quatch has the lineup posted by day, and they are headlining Saturday.  And they damn well better not be playing in Portland on Sunday or Monday!  :)

Single day tix go on sale this Saturday for $70.

Just a warning that the 3-day passes are only available through Sunday for $180ish.

After that, it'll be $250+ to buy individual tickets for all three days.

Yikes   :(

Vespa, hotel is booked!!!!!! We are going to be there saturday night for sure! Unfortunately that will be our only day at Sasquatch. I am hoping they push their tour back into summer so we can come back and do Portland and Seattle again.

QuoteProbably not a 4-hour Roo-style marathon, but at least 2 hours, maybe more?  The Cure played almost 3 hours in '08...that was a long, cold set!

It's out in the middle of nowhere (don't recall hearing much about curfew/noise restrictions in the past) and it's their first time headlining a fest of this size...maybe they'll pull out the stops?   :D

Not only did the Cure Play a 3 hour set, but REM played one equaly as long the next night at the same 08 Sasquatch.  MMJ closing the first night should easily rip a 3 hour set.  Throw Cobra in there, get a little cameo from Jim with She and Him, perfecto, I could go home happy.  Except I will be ripping the rest of the weekend to the best lineup of this year's festivals.  MGMT BEFORE Ween to close it out, all is right in the world.

I am so beyond there. This is the festival I have been waiting for. How comfortable are the amenities at the gorge? Is it rough camping, like people on top of each other? I havent been to a festival since woodstock 94 and that was a fucking mess.

LowDownLuvDawg

man this festival looks so awesome!

I'd love to do this festival but plane tickets are not pretty to Seattle and then I'd have to rent a car, fly with camping gear, etc.  The logistics are killing me.
I'm digging, digging deep in myself, but who needs a shovel when you have a little boy like mine.

Or, you could fly into Portland and drive with us. We could strap you and wifey to the roof racks, no prob. ;)

I've only been to Sasquatch once, last year, but we plan on making it a yearly.  Anyhoo, in regular camping it was car camping and when we arrived about midnight on Friday night it was a complete cluster'eff.  However, it worked out to our advantage since there was little to no security or direction at "load in".  For example: There was an RV driving through the campsite without anybody giving him direction (along with many other cars) looking for a spot and it took out one of those huge agricultural sprinkler systems that farmers use - he didn't know he had caught it with the top of the rented Winnebago and was towing it across the field of peeps. People were hollering and trying to get him to stop. Water was spraying everywhere, and it was a mess!  Anyway, people were scurrying everywhere and it caused such a mess that everyone just ended up moving cars anywhich way away from the flood and we ended up with a much bigger spot.

Also, it's a bit of a shlep from regular camping to the venue entrance.  It's probably only .75 or 1 mile, but it feels like 5.  As well, I only attempted a shower once and it was freezing cold and fairly nasty in there.  The food at the venue sucks ass and is way overpriced.  I'm def doing VIP this year.  That all being said, we had a supremely awesome time and I would recommend going!!

So like, your average festival, it's smells like ass and patchouli all weekend? I was thinking the VIP as well, I'm too old for all that. How much of a bitch is is to bring in a case or two of beer? If not how much did it run at the venue? I think I am just going to rent an suv and sleep in there. My girlfriends parents live in Spokane, so we may just drive back there afterwards and crash instead of hopping right on a plane. We are in Ohio, btw. Thanks for all the info! We should meet up!

also, I ride a lambretta  :P

Sticky Icky Green Stuff
