QuoteWell put me down on the Bham list. Gonna be pushing it to get back to work on Wednesday. I can tell my youth group I just got in from a MMJ concert :D

I though so!  I figured someone showing up this morning to add themselves to the B'ham roll call might be the lucky bastard who gets to sit shotgun with johnnYYac!   ;)

You got a good deal, my friend.  I paid $260 for the pair, so with your winning bid, its like I paid $179 for my seat.   >:(Shit!  You know what?  Its worth it!   :)

What say you buy me a beer to help with the guilt you must be feeling right now?  [smiley=beer.gif]

As a forum member for nearly 3 years, you qualify as a deserving recipient.  See you in B'ham.  20 days and counting...

Yes Sir!   It's been too long without live MMJ rockin out somewhere in the world.

JohnnyYac, go ahead and put a +8 by my name on the list. I caved in and upgraded my 16th row tickets to 3rd row. Yac, I would have bought your ticket had it been more than just 1. Gotta have the girlfriend a seat. As for my old tickets, my brother and his wife wanted to go to the show but not thinking it would sale out, waited around to buy tickets. They don't really know much about MMJ other than that they are my favorite band so I gave my old tickets to them as a housewarming gift since they just bought a new home. As for the other two new ones, I was in my original hometown with a couple of buddies and popped okonokos in then left it with them. A couple of days later after I had gotten back to Birmingham I had a text saying they bought 10th row tickets off StubHub. It's starting to thunder up I-65. You can barely hear it but it's there...slowly getting louder

Awesome!  Way to recruit.  What side of the stage are your 3rd row seats?  Will I be staring at the back of your head?  I'm on the right.

+8 is the record for groups on any roll call I've seen.  I imagine some folks could combine, but for forum members you're bringing a good-sized crew.  Two weeks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

3rd Row Center, I'll be across the aisle...We won't all be coming as a group, I'll probably be earlier than everyone else...one of my roommates has a presentation to give at UAB so they will be later. They have balcony seats though so I'm not sure how much of them I'll see. I'll be around that area of town all evening probably. This is just too good to pass up. Hometown shows are great and so damn convenient.

ALady

I can't believe this is two weeks away.   :o

Just booked my hotel room at The Redmont Hotel. Looks stumbling distance from the bama theater. I'm flying from California, so locals please advise if i should stay somewhere else. Can't wait to hear some preservation hall horns on Dancefloors.

I can't hold back.  Technically, its just under 13 hours premature, but...

ONE WEEK!!!

Any final thoughts on the best preshow spot for a drink or six and some food?  What about postshow?  Forgive the duplicate post I'm gonna put up on the Preshow thread :)

Holy cannoli.

I seriously don't think I'm ready.   ;D

I'm new to the thread, but I figured I should contribute. I'll be there solo in row O center. I go to college in the city, and without a doubt, the place to get the best beer is J Cyde's. All their beer on tap is served at a cool 52 degrees, and they have the widest selection in the city. It's hands down the best in town.
Why Birmingham was chosen as the epicenter for the triumphant return, I know not, but all the pieces have fallen together into a soon-to-be unforgettable night!!!

I just wanted to say I'll be heading from Texas to see My Morning Jacket live for the first time and on my bday! Nothing gets better then that.

Hey EasyRyder, you're not the only one going solo, which means we ain't truly going solo!  I may try J Clyde's early afternoon or post show, but its starting to look like Speakeasy pre show (5ish) as its closer to the Alabama Theatre.  At least, that's what I'm hearing.
