I am in row E as well (106-108).  I know a couple of people who pulled pits though.

CousinEddie

i'm in orch row E too. left "best available" checked and it handed me lawns. WTF??

soccerphan

I had the same thing happen to me cousin eddie.  I am in the seats i described but at least two people on another message board pulled pits.

DirtyLeg

I got orchestra Row D. If your tix don't say ORCH LT or RT, then you are center.
I logged on immediately and chose Pit, but I was told no tickets were available or it was sold out.

RockABelly

I got 4 PIT tix, and 2 ORCH Row A....WOOT!!  Will sell the ORCH's.

Hopefully MMJ will ignore the decibel ordinance and pay the fine for cranking it up.  I'll chip in to pay the fine.

edbcu

2 orchestra row A! couldn't get pit but i'm still pumped about my 1st show

woodsy

got em.  row J.  rolling five deep too.  can't wait.  where shall we all inebriate beforehand?

soccerphan

I'll be at the Brick Store Pub prior to heading over to Chastain...I can't wait!

Orch D 76.  Could be better, could be worse (such as row W in B'ham  >:( )

I would have been on sooner, but I had no idea what the passwords were, then couldn't remember my Visa Verify password (too many gd passwords to memorize!)

See you in April!
The fact that my heart's beating is all the proof you need.

MMJCOBRA

Anyone know how the PIT works at Chastain?  Is it GA?  If not are the seats at an incline?  I have row 19 PIT so pretty pumped.

Also for all those with ORCH seats, if your tickets are consecutively numbered (1,2,3,4) then you have center orchestra, if you have even numbers (2,4,6,8) you're on the right and if they are odd numbered (1,3,5,7) you're on the left.

Any PIT info is much appreciated!!!!

Thanks for posting that seating chart, have been trying to find one that really told you where you were sitting.

Bad news:  We are well off to the left
Good news: That puts us pretty damn close to the stage.

Just tried to get better seats on the regular sale and it came back row M, virtually exact same seats... no pit tix at all.

Jon T.

me too.  looks like these things are going fast.  it came back with row P for me.

br00ke

i wouldn't be surprised if (more) pit tix were released later .. trying to sell the rest of the venue first.

I have the same bad news and same good news... either way, we'll have a f*n blast so bring that shit on!  :)

I'll be there.   I love Chastain as a venue but, to be honest, I have been avoiding it for a few years.    They instituted a cut off time (11:00 I think) and also a decible max at this venue.  It IS enforced.  Thankfully, the crowd will know to keep it quiet and enjoy the show. This show will be their "no tables" set up so at least there will not be the Buckhead Betty Bunch sitting down front and talking throughout.

I saw YES at Chastain about 5-6 years ago and when Steve Howe did Mood For A Day, you honestly could not hear him over the crowd.

Sorry to be a little negative.  I'm sure it will be fine.   Also, April is a great month for a show at Chastain.   The June-Sept shows can be really hot as the concrete acts like an oven.

I've been hearing stuff like this...who else has been to a show at this venue before?  To the person who talked about the Wilco show, were you in the pit?  We have our tickets already, just curious...

Chastain is a big park located in the middle of some very nice neighborhoods.  There is a golf course, horse park, baseball fields etc. but because the ampitheatre is sort of along one edge you ultimately have houses almost directly across the street from the venue.  If you do a satellite view on Google maps you'll see what I mean.  That's why they are so strict about the sound, etc. as the band is practially playing in someone's backyard.

That said, it is a fairly intimate venue that's surrounded by trees, etc. and so long as we don't have a cold snap it should be fantastic, just won't be an epic, all nighter.
