edit: traffic in and out of Merriweather is hellish. If you can get there early, get there early. I once missed an entire opener and the first few songs despite having left 2 1/2 hours early...and I live only 45 minutes from the venue!

sounds like this venue is great but kind of a b*tch at the same time...anyone thinking about a massive tailgate? looks like everyone needs to get there early to avoid traffic...

Interesting reviews ... never been there even though I live so close.  People seem to like the sound and most things about the venue but I guess you gotta be in the pavilion to see the band.

Since many are traveling some distance, a tailgate would be in order!  Oh man...The weather should be perfect for this venue too.

c) call ticketmaster by phone without a redial button?

Ayup!  I remembah back in tha day, it was a mite more excitin' gettin' fourth row tickets for Pink Floyd or Boston. You had ta work for 'em.
Rotary dial, programming the VCR like a grow light timer, those were the days. Kids these days, with their fancy cell phones and remote controls, though I do like the Spongebob.  He cracks me up.

You know I'd be down for a tailgate.  Someone set it up, I'll be there.  Question is whether I should try to drive home from Raleigh after the show or spend the night and leave in the morning.  Either way, I'll have to drink off my hangover.  Let's do this and aim for the largest forum photo ever! :)
