I'm trying to get my friend to go, but if he can't I'm going to have an extra pit ticket, but I can't give it away for free. I'm gonna need at least a high five or something.

Quotewell...it's blue and yellow mostly. And so far so good. I have two friends who are great with a needle and thread (they have a machine) so we just need to add in the bear! Hope that's enough to go on, I would like the finished flag to be a surprise!

how will we know which party is the MMJ forum party then??  :(

True dat Bluesky! And I will be playing the bagpipes at our party. Hopefully there won't be too many groups of people with MMJ flags and bagpipers so you can find us Capt. If there are then this is gonna be a sick tailgate party!  ;D

For the love of Pete, I still have those two pit tix available. I'm heading out of town, but if you're interested e-mail my friend (totally trustworthy and he'll be at the show)

Thanks! See y'all there (assuming I survive their Jazz Fest set and the PHJB show)  ;D Oh, and Jim's Sunday set with PHJB and Terence Blanchard  ;D  ;D  ;D
God sure baked a lot of fruitcake, baby.

So this has been bothering for a week or so now, and now that the Birmingham show is done, its bothering me even more.  As of right now, for the Merriweather show, gates open at 6:30, the show starts at 8.  Assuming PHJB goes on right at 8, and plays for lets say, 30 or 45 minutes.  This would mean MMJ might go on at lets say 9:15.  Merriweather, from what I understand, has an 11 O'Clock Noise curfew.  So does this mean those of us at Merriweather will be getting a shorter MMJ set?  It seems they played a solid 2 and a half hours in Bama tonight, and I'm going to be really bummed if the only show I catch on this tour gets a shortened setlist.  :'(

Thoughts, Opinions, something to make me feel better? haha.  And yes, even if its only 90 minutes I know I should be happy, but considering how long the boys like to play, I will be a bit let down.

Hi everyone!  I haven't been on this forum much lately but it's just hit me that this show is just 10 days away.  Can't wait to see one of my most favorite bands who I haven't seen since 12/31/08.  Hence, why I'm driving to MD from MA when I'll also be seeing them later this year in MA.  But I'm a road junkee, and so I'm also looking forward to leaving Massachusetts for a bit, and I have yet to stay in Maryland.  I've only seen it from the highway, mainly I-95, though I've also seen some of the western part of the state, which is gorgeous (I'm in love with mountains).

I got tickets for the Hartford and Boston shows, and I'm debating (with myself) going to one of the NY shows. Depends on $$ and how good of a ticket I might find, and a lot of other factors, really. I'm probably not going, I got too much going on.  Ahhhh but the final night at MSG is probably going to be INSANE.   Damn.  I need a doppelganger to live another life for me.

This exact issue has been bothering me (I guess we're both worriers), and now that the tour has started and I see setlists/playtimes, the worry is stronger.   In fact I just posted on this topic on another thread.

Friday night's show has the same issue, so I will follow closely what happens there...after that we'll know what to expect.    If we're only getting 90 mins of jacket, that will be a bummer, but I'll have a week to get over it and get psyched.   It'll still be great regardless and 90 mins is 90 more than I got in 2009 (MOF excluded).

I hold out hope that they will switch the start time to 7:30 which seems like it would pretty much solve the problem, and isn't unusual for a show with an opener......

Yeah, that would be a bummer if its only a 90 minute set

Booked a room at the Sheraton last night.  My wife and I are starting a week-long vacation with this show.  We can't wait!

It looks walking distance.  If we get tired we can rest at the food court in the mall!

It'll be nice to so some socializin' too.

Penny ..... we'll miss you!!
...words only got in the way

I hoping for more than 90 minutes. I'm sure they'll work something out.

I had these same worries about the St. Auggie show, cause they have a curfew also, but thankfully the start time on those tix say 7:00pm.

So far I have no one, so if I still have it, it's yours. Can't promise anything though.

I cant take it anyway - unless I find another single - because I cant leave my friend up in RC Row U. I'll keep a mental note though

Well, I guess I could  ::)

NOSE GOES!

I emailed MPP with our question - will report back if I get any response.

This little issue is holding me back from 100% excitement so I'd like to get it cleared up (or at least get over it and mentally prepare for a shorter show).   Sure seems like a 7:30 start with a shorter break between bands would solve the problem.    I look at the setlist and imagine chopping out 20 - 30 mins and that bums me out for sure.

JerseyDan

i've already started drinking...okay not really...

Ghosts_on_TV

I've already started throwing glowsticks at a cardboard cutout of Jim in my room.

@Ghosts on TV - hahahaha. Glowsticks are a scourge (personal opinion).

Merriweather Post set time is 9 pm. Curfew is 11.

I know two hours is less than some other shows but I'm sure it will be quality to the max, and hopefully this makes some of you feel better knowing that it won't just be 90 min.
