Who's on board for this?  Sounds like folks are coming from all over, might be a nice chance for the beer snobs to share their local treats!

Please post where you're coming from, what you can bring, what requests you have for others, and we can start arranging some swaps...

I'm coming from Chicago and can bring stuff from the breweries here (Goose Island, Three Floyds) and can bring Wisconsin beers too (New Glarus, Sprecher, Ale Asylum, etc.).

I'm coming from NYC. Will bring Rye whiskey and beer. I like just about any beer I can get my hands on... not a big Sam Adams fan. Or Bass. Or any of those low-carb / light beers. But pretty much anything else.

Some Blue Point Toasted Lager should do the trick for this! Maybe a weiss beer too, if it's good and sunny out. Perhaps Ayinger or Paulaner? Or maybe it would be good to stick with American beers... so a Blue Moon.

The time is getting near!

Love the sound of that!

great idea ALady!

i'm more of what you'd call a beer brat.  not a big fan of the micro brews.  i find a lot of them to be too sweet.  i get suckered by the fancy labels & have been burned many times.  ultimately, i'm a guinness girl, but the black stuff's a bit heavy on the belly for this type of thing.

anyhaps, blue moon's rising moon is what's on tap for me tonight.  not adventurous but delicious.  and anchor steam is delightful as well.  especially their summer brew.  i'll probably be bringing one or both of them.

edit: oh yeah - coming from nj.

Hi ALady! I'm Trish from NJ and I am a lover of lots of different beers!  This is such a fantastic idea!!  Thanks for organizing!

There is a very small microbrewery in the town next to mine where they only sell the beer in these big jugs......I will bring a few of those!  it's pretty good.....I have 2 bottles in the fridge from a place in the northeast of Vermont called Jay Peak, and if I dont drink them by then, I will bring those too!  Probably some Sierra Nevada Torpedo too.
If there are any NY beers you want, let me know!
Are you staying at the Sheraton??

Thanks, cant believe it's less than a month away!!

I like the thought, and will definitely be bringing a brew of some sorts, although coming from Pittsburgh and being somewhat close to the venue, not sure what I could bring that would be exclusively local.

It'll probably something on the lighter side though, because when it comes to summer shows, the heat, and drinking reebs for multiple hours, I try to stray from the heavy.

I got a couple ideas though

Not all micros are sweet. I hate sweet beers. And since you're from NJ, you should go to the High Point/Ramstein brewery in Butler. They brew almost exclusively wheat beers - the beers that Blue Moon tries to emulate.

Anyway, anyone from NJ do everyone else a favor and cut through Easton and get some Weyerbacher to share with everyone.

I think you all just need to make a big vat of Moose Piss:

It sounds delicious.  Plus, it says it a "party" drink.  Beer is going to make you have to piss the whole show.  I'm only saying that because I'm jealous.

Dodobird

Love this idea! I am coming from NY city. I am a big Guinness drinker. Best from the can if you are on the road. Prob bring a 12 of those and also a 12 of Amstel Light. Maybe pick up some other interesting brew on the road. PBR is always a party fav! Can't wait to crack one open on May 1!  :D
Wakin up feelin good and limber!

Lady you are awesome!

I'm all in! I will probably bring Blue Moon (just as my personal favorite, I know it's not a local one) and some Troegs. That's a local brewery near me (Hershey, PA) and I'm not sure where it's available elsewhere. If anything looks good on the website, speak up people! If no requests I'll surprise you all. :)

may have to participate in this.

my suggestion for organization would be to bring whatever you want, and do one for one trades when you meet up.  i.e. if you want six beers, bring a sixer of your beer and then when you meet up trade one of those beers for one of someone elses, your second beer to someone else for one of theirs, etc.

will cut down on confusion ahead of time and let people mix and swap and meet a bunch of different people in the process.

You can get Toegs in NYC. The HopBack Amber is pretty great. And The Troegenator has been known to kill me on occasion.

This sounds like an excellent plan.  Thanks houdini!

Ky, TROEGS???  You would be my heroine, we can't get that in Chicago!

Sounds like a great idea, i'm coming from Philly. Will bring some Yards, Flying Fish, Triumph, Dogfish Head and some Victory.  Can't wait for this show.

ALady

Sweet!  Love some Dogfish Head...

We just started getting Stone Brewing here too, does anyone want me to bring some of that?

ALady and others, are any of these not available to you: Stoudt's, Widmer Brothers, or Victory?

...I see gonzo might bring some Victory, but they have a ton of options
