Hi all!  Long time lurker here, never posted on here before.
I just wanted to get a quick topic started on the Marlinton WV show.  I just got back and started unpacking.  I'm gonna update later.  Lots to tell, stay tuned.

Awesome, can't wait to hear your report!
I'm digging, digging deep in myself, but who needs a shovel when you have a little boy like mine.

Bigsky

Yes...welcome to the Forum...how about a set list with your comments on each song  ;)

I will have to get the setlist later.  My Girlfriend has it secretly stashed away.

I was with my girlfriend and 6 year old daughter...
Here's a run-down.  We got into Marlinton about 3:00 PM.  We went to a little Coffee shop called the DirtBean within a Block from the Opera House.  Then just walked around for a while.  About 4:30 we went back into the coffee shop and had another iced coffee. With nothing else to do, we just sat there, played checkers,  told stories..  Then the ENTIRE band walked into the coffee shop.  My girlfriend just froze.  They ordered something to eat and then sat down.   With my gf nearly in freakout-mode, i walked over with my daughter and asked the whole table if we could get a picture after they finished eating..  Ben was the first to speak up and said "sure". Jim had a look like "holy crap someone recognized us".  So we patiently waited until they were finished and Ben got up, was almost out the door and said, "oh, you guys wanted a picture".    I said, "yes, with ALL of you".   So I have a picture of the four guys in the band, my girlfriend and my daughter, the smile on my girlfriends face is priceless because Jim has his arm around her.

I talked to the guys outside the place and asked if they were gonna be really loud because i was going to get earplugs for my daughter.  Jim said there will be short amounts of loudness.  Daniel told me he had some earplugs and i followed him over to the opera house where he brought us out some.  Awesome group of guys!  I cane say enough about how nice they were.

Anyway - insert concert here. I gotta get the rest of what happened in here.

The Pocahontas County Opera House only seats about 250 and it wasnt full. We had seats right in the very front and enjoyed some awesome music.

After the concert, I grabbed Jims setlist, chord page, and some other handwritten notes that i have yet to see because the gf swiped them.
She also got up on stage and grabbed the bottle of sparkling water Jim was drinking.  Stalker.

I'll get the set list and other comments up later.

Nice encounter!  Lucky.  Hopefully you can pry the setlist away from your girl for long enough to type it out!  ;D   Great story man, thanks!

Super great story man.  I eagerly await part III!  Ya know, I was daydreaming today driving down to Charlottesville and I thought to myself that if I ran into Jim, I'd just ask him to take a picture of me and my mom, say thanks for taking the picture and to have a great day.

Yes..Yes..that's definitely what I would have done. ::)
