there is a pre-party brewing at The Abbaye (http://www.yelp.com/biz/the-abbaye-philadelphia). Khyber is closed for renovation

How far from the venue @ Penns Landing is The Abbaye, and is it walkable?

I was at the venue last night. Small and if you want a seat would get there early. Very close to the band. If you have will call need to get them on the river next to the fairy.

So there are seats at this place?  Any more info on that?  Is it GA right up against the stage a la Festival Pier? Or is it seated right up front?  Or are the seats just further back?  I want to be right up front and I do not want to be seated.

No seats. Front rail should be a short distance from the actual stage, like festival pier.

Abbaye? Really? Thats a good 15-20 minute walk to the venue if I'm thinking of the right place.

The Abbaye is a bit of a walk, but a GREAT bar and a perfect place for a pre-show hang. Food is great, they got a beer sponsor and DJs...sounds pretty rad to me. Add in that its gonna be in the low 80's and sunny and the walk to/from isn't a big deal or a $5 cab ride.
