King Khan and the Shrines are playing both Friday (15th) and Saturday (16th), the weekend before the shows kick off.  For anyone coming up a bit early I would suggest catching one of these shows.  It will be an all out James Brown-esque Funk/Soul/Garage Rock Party!!

ugh...torture.....

one of my bffs is coming in from florida to celebrate her birthday that weekend in the city.  it was cold and heartless of me, but i had to tell her i could celebrate "around the show schedule."  Fortunately it's a geographical can-do, and she is also a huge music fan, so she gets it.

Seriously, sorry for the conflict.  I was gonna bag Newport because the wife is out of town (SLC) all week for business AND at a wedding (Chitown) the day Yim and Prine are playing.  Fortunately, made arrangements to pull it off.  

The job makes Terminal 5 impossible for me.  Even the 23rd.   :'(
