Thanks much, potsy! You're always helpful with such things...i'm hoping some concrete info falls in our laps before the pre-sale.

then whats the point of the presale?

There is no point, but then again most GA venues have presales anyways. I don't understand why and I work for the ticketing company.

just read your PM, thanks for the info! I'm going to a black keys show the night before the presale. thats going to be a long night full of drinking and i'll be glad not to wake up early in the morning to go to the presale.  one more question though.... how do you know that the event is GA?

edit: because at the press-release someone said "we know how louisville love's their GA tickets" when talking about the presale

i'll be there with my new bride, only a couple weeks after our honeymoon. couldn't convince her that 5 shows in new york was the most romantic time in the world, so this is the most incredible compromise i've ever made. god, marriage'll be a BREEEEEEEEZE!

congratulations early, slim! (but yeah, terminal 5 shows would be an ideal honeymoon---but that would hard to sell to anyone OUTSIDE of jacket super-fan-dom)
but come on...there's nothing sexy about poop. Nothing.  -bbill

Does anyone have any close by hotel suggestions? I don't know the area at all and don't want to end up someplace I regret.

My searching only came up with the Crowne Plaza - 1.8 miles away and the Hyatt - 2.7 miles away. Don't know how accurate those distances are.

Any nice places closer to the Yum Center?

Thanks.

any hotel/motel that you find close to YUM is going to be a pretty quality place because it will be downtown louisville. when you get a few more miles out though it will start getting questionable for sure

The wife and I are strongly considering coming to the show.  It's on our bucket list - to see MMJ in their hometown.

I've only seen MMJ once in a small venue in Montreal (don't get up here in Ottawa or Montreal very often), so how does the GA lineup work?  Do a lot of people tend to camp out or arrive early in the morning?

Northern Neighbour

Also, if someone can send me a PM on the presale code, I would be extremely grateful or inform me on where to find the information.  Thank you.

I haven't found the presale code anywhere, though its a GA show w/over 10,000 "seats" so I would think you're okay waiting until general sale on Friday.

Thank you for the information Johnny.  I didn't realize that the KFC Yum! Center held that large of a GA.  I better talk to wife tonight about whether or not to go.

Y'know, I wasn't thinking.  I assume GA floor but don't go on my word.  I did presale for the Oct. Portland, ME show which is a small theater, than pulled another for the wife just a few days ago.  KFC Yum! is much bigger, but so is the MMJ fan base in L'ville, so I suppose tix will go fast.
