I keep eyeing this poster, from the 2-night run that brought us Okonokos.  It doesn't appear to be particularly valuable or rare, though I think it holds significance for the reason previously stated.  Anybody have info/history on this one?  It been selling on eBay for more than I'm guessing its worth, but I keep coming back to it.

Also diggin' this '04 New Orleans poster, with the At Dawn theme.  Also seems a bit overpriced, but I haven't seen many come around.

The Fillmore hands out free posters to all attendees at most shows as they leave the building.  This is one of those posters.  They are not silk screened, so that is probably why they are not considered particularly valuable.  Still, it's very cool that you get a free souvenir of the show with the price of admission.

I come across that poster sometimes at Rasputin Records, which is a chain of independent record stores (yeah, I know that sounds oxymoronic) in the Bay Area.  They sell extras of Fillmore posters in their stores.

There were two different designs for the free posters for the NYE '06 Fillmore shows:  one for the 29th and 30th, and one for NYE.  There is also a Fillmore poster for MMJ's show in 2004 where M. Ward opened.

They gave out smaller, non-silkscreened versions of a poster at Portland, ME this October, too.  There was a full-sized, silkscreen version of it, as well.  Also, Madpixel did another poster, so I have three different posters from that show.

Thanks for the info.

I already had the Nashville '10 poster that Burlesque did, but I just won another on ebay for 99cents. After shipping its like 6 bucks. I'll keep it in reserve for a birthday or something.

Just snagged one of 2 remaining Burwell's to almost complete my Burwell/MMJ/Portland collection, the 2007.  Only 2003 remains.

Also picked up the Fung Berkeley 2008

and perhaps most importantly the Slater 2005 Boulder

I'm a collector.  I love this one from Holyoke, MA last year and wish I had cash enough to pick up extras.

I was debating posting what I paid.  The Slater was $200 (framed), the Fung $25 (original price was $30), and the 2007 Burwell was $70.  All on eBay in the past 24 hours.

200 is a hell of a lot better than the 600$ one that was up forever. I hear ya though spending a lot. I've had many times that I knew I didn't wanna spend the money I did on a burwell, but i just "couldn't let it get away"

Yeah, that $600 Slater is down to $400 now, I think.  Its an artist proof, which increases value (yes?).  Nope, its still $600.

YYacMaster,

Kinda funny that you picked up the Burwell/Slater combo.  I also picked up both of those prints last month and oddly enough paid almost exactly the same as you did.  And to top it off, I recently got the Guy Burwell At Dawn T5 and the Clinton Reno Tennessee Fire T5 poster.  It has been an expensive couple of months but I have to feed this addiction.   Money well spent in my mind.  Their values are only going to keep going up.  Although I never plan on selling them so that doesn't really do me much good.

highly debatable.  Personally, I'd much rather have a #'d edition than an A/P these days.  Artists, imo, seem to be taking advantage of the whole A/P thing in recent years...they seem to no longer serve their original intention....as an artist's proof, and are now simply a away to increase the run size a bit and for an artist to squeeze out a few more dollars from a print run.  Obviously this isn't the case with all artists.  A/P's just don't seem to be as rare or cool as they were once thought of.  I like my #'d prints.

Its a tough time to make a living no matter who you are, so I can't blame the artists for doing this. Personally, I'd rather have the s/n print if I was at the show, but I wouldn't mind buying an AP if I'm only buying it because I like the art (which I've done on a few occasions).
The wind blew me back, via Chicago, in the middle of the night.

Anyone seen this Philly poster before?  Doesn't exist on Expresso Beans.

a lot of posters never make it on to ebeans because no one adds them.  I add every one I pick up at shows and encourage you all to do the same (if you see a poster added by azkemp, that's me!).

e_wind

yeah ive added 4 or 5 posters to expresso beans, but man it takes forever for them to approve it.

I am pretty sure that's a promoter poster promoting the event, not a poster sold at the concert.   That said, I plan to buy it because I haven't seen it before.   There are already 2 other posters for that night (both in expresso beans) so it'll be the second show for which I have 3 posters (8/18 KC being the other).

1. it looks as if that fung mmj norwal print actually made it to a poster.
2. what are some websites that sell gig posters. I can't think of the name of one... its not expresso, gigposters, or diesel...
