That's odd...I was listening to the Pink Moon album on the way to work this morning.  Too bad his life was cut short, he had a very promising career ahead of him.

By the way, he has a "new" CD coming out soon - I don't think it has many new tracks, if any at all.  Just remixes and remastered versions.

Yep, Nick Drake is fabulous. I'm a little scared of that new CD, though - most posthumous releases suck big time.
I'm ready when you are

Nick Drake is indeed a legend.

Has anyone checked out the new IRON & WINE C.D "our endless
numbered days".It has some very Nick Drake-esque moments.
Tracks 4 & 6 could have a "Pink Moon" outtakes.A stunning album in my opinion anyhow...check it out.
But in truth, no one can melt into the air quite like Nick Drake. An iron fist in a velvet glove, full of magic and vision. One can't help thinking that he new his fate when he wrote the gorgeous lyrics to "Fruit tree"

" Fame is but a fruit tree
  So very unsound
  It can never flourish
Till its stalk is in the ground
  So men of fame
  Can never find a way
  Till time has flown
  Far from their dying day.
  Forgotten while you're here
  Remembered for a while
  A much updated ruin
  From a much outdated style.

  Life is but a memory
  Happened long ago "
