peanut butter puddin surprise

Perhaps it's Jack's 47 interchangeable shitbox guitars.  Perhaps it's Meg White's strange beauty.  Perhaps it's the back-to-basics songwriting that appeals to me.

Anyways, they are coming to the Palace this fall.  (Sept 21?)

Any takers?  Haters?

Wow.  That's an unfortunate date.  Everybody's gonna still be in their house listening to Z.  ;)

I'd go.  I'd fucking go for sure.  Every time we walked or drove by the Palace, I got this weird little buzzy feeling, and kept wishing I would see a show there.

Plus.  I find that I enjoy those White Stripes.  And I really, really dig girl drummers.

Lemme check that date, perhaps I have the two mixed up.  :)

Per the other thread bout Wilco, seeing shows there isn't as great as it should be.  The PA is from 1947, I'm told...I think I've had a way better concert experience at the Brown Theater or elsewhere than at the Palace.

With the right sound system and some bars, the Palace would be incredible.  Until then...

(The release date, I think is the 20th, but doesn't everyone need a few days to really get into an album?)

Oh sorry.  Mahgeetah just came on.  Oh man.  Honestly they played like every single one of my favourite songs at this show.  CRAZY.

Ahem.  Venues with bad sound really stink.  And the sound guys are always cranky because they know there's only so much they can do.

I saw the white stripes last year, this may be heresy but I've never seen anyone rock fuc#ing harder than that. Holy Rock n Roll batman, I mean if you closed your eyes you would think there were four dudes or dudettes up on stage totally rocking. Don't own one White Stripes CD but that is sure to change.

Taker, Big Time. Oh yeah, John. Jack and Meg are great!

Sept. 13: Louisville (Palace Theatre)

The White Stripes rule. Their records are fine, but they are an amazing liveband.
