The top left of that article says "If MMJ is the Radiohead of the Southern Rock revival, then 'z' is their 'ok computer'.  That just got me thinking of how awesome Ok computer actually was (and still is, in my opinion, the best album of the 90's).  So what's everyone's favorite Radiohead album?

EC

OK Computer
then The Bends
then Kid A

I like all of them, though.  All of them.

primushead

Yeah i fought over kid A and Ok computer for a while...but finally settled on computer.

Favorite is OK Computer, then KID A.

I like Pablo Honey, but parts of it sound cheap...

dragonboy

Like them all but OK Computer is the standout.
God will forgive them. He'll forgive them and allow them into Heaven.....I can't live with that.

ok computer...no question.  i was a huge radiohead obsessive dork right up until about kid a, and then i just expanded my music horizons too much to focus solely on them.  i think kid a is a great fucking album, but its been way overhyped as something completely brand new.  it was brand new for then, and as i said, i fucking love it.  its just really nothing that eno or anyone on the warp label hadnt already done, at least with the electronic textures.  i think amnesiac has a handful of good songs, but overall still pretty decent.  i like maybe 4 or 5 songs on hail to the thief, and i think its weak weak weak.  all in all, a great fucking band that will always mean a lot to me.  ive just found so much else in the past 5 years, and i think theyve lost their place as the forerunners of expansive new musical territories.  i thought last year at lebowski fest when i first heard it beats 4 u that the jacket were moving in to radiohead territory with their expansion in sound.  i think Z really confirms that, so youll have your fans who hate it because its totally against the grain of the previous 3, and all sorts of new fans will come on just from hearing Z.

fuck, i get wordy some times over a simple question.   :D

primushead

wordy=entertaining to read while high ;D

i gotcha, but i meant imagine how entertaining it would be read if i were stoned when i get all jabber-jaws or jabber-fingers, whichever you prefer.  things could get crazy.  :D

JacketGal

The BENDS!! ;D This one is timeless for me.
Ok Computer
Kid A...
But seein you feels good, and its always understood.
That anything much sweeter would make me die.

SmoothOprtr

I would say Kid A, but I am stunned at how little love The Bends is getting...
The only two things in life that make it worth livin Is guitars that tune good and firm feelin women

Oh, i'm not dissing the bends at all.  It's an awesome rock album...but when comparing with 'ok' i'll have to choose the latter.  No offense to the bends.  Planet talex is one of my favorite radiohead songs.
