there is a TBA on Lockn, but I doubt it's them.

also, if there was a smaller fest of just the folks on the bottom half of the lineup, I'd be all about it.

I'm still optimistic. It's not even February, I was just hopeful they'd pop up this month but there's still plenty of time for tour and album news in 2020.

I also thought LOCKN would make sense.  But LOCKN isn't doing it for me this year unfortunately.  Any Phil Lesh fans would be stoked.  It's still early.  If fall is the rumor, then we have a few months to be patient before we can plan anything.  I'm optimistic too.

yeah forecastle and bourbon & beyond seem more likely - especially the latter given timing.  All good tho ;)

Roger Waters announced a huge tour from July through the end of a September. Assuming Bo is still touring with him this may rule out MMJ until the fall.

Here's the official press release from Roger's website.  No mention of who's in the band but the whole in the round concept sounds like good fun.

Sea Hear Now fest in Asbury Park NJ. Started by Danny Clinch plus Carl played there in 2018. Dates are 9-19 and 9-20. Would be a great choice.

Jim just announced an August 14th date for his Order of Nature project with Teddy Abrams in Oregon, too.

Maybe that leaves us with some late August (if those Red Rocks Aug 27/28 rumors are true) September & October tour dates... Leads right up to the election if that's what they were going for, obviously. Hopefully we'll have some news in the coming weeks! Who knows though!

Was thinking/hoping the same thing. AP is just down the road from me. Come on boys!

"No, I decided to sit this one out."  Wow...  I can't imagine how difficult that sort of choice must be.

So now the table is set and we know for sure that RW's plans aren't holding anything up.  Red Rocks over Labor Day weekend would be a dream and I too would love to see them blow the doors off the new Louisville soccer stadium, but at this point I'll be happy with anything from MMJ!

I can't imagine Bo turns this down without some other (band-centric) plans already in the works. Now the wait til announcement...

Correct me if I am wrong, but wasn't Bo a fill in for the last tour? Didn't the original member of the touring band get sick or something?
How are people confident that he was invited back?

I don't know the answer myself but in Bo's Twitter bio he lists "keyboardist for Roger Waters, My Morning Jacket, Ray LaMontagne and other good things."

Which is not inaccurate, but to play devils advocate a bit, Bo did not tour with Ray during his last tour, Carl was in the band though.

There was no band, it was just Ray and Carl mostly acoustic although Carl did play some electric and pedal steel.

I meant his last summer tour in 2018, there was definitely a full band..

Yeah, Bo was a fill in for Drew Erickson on keyboard.

I think everyone is just going off Bo's twitter reply from yesterday which he insinuates he made the choice to sit it out... At least that's all I'm going off of. Lol

If you didn't see the tweet, Erica asked if he would be "Going out with Roger again?" (In regards to the tour announcement yesterday)

Bo's reply was "No, I decided to sit this one out"

I definitely do not know the accurate answer here, but while I think did Bo originally come on as a fill-in, he seemed to have merged into the regular lineup. He did multiple tours with Roger over the period of multiple years.
