NYE 2006 recording (And other such essential shows not on Archive or Nugs)

Hello all,

Somehow in my 28 years on this earth, it's only been this past year I discovered the wonders of My Morning Jacket. I've known about Wilco since the age of about 12, so I have no idea how in the hell that happened. It started of course with the studio albums, where the reaction was "wow, this band has a pleasant sound and some good songwriting chops" and then I listened to Bonnaroo 2005, where my reaction transformed into "HOLY MOTHERFUCKING SHIT".

Since then, I have feverishly been listening through MMJ shows, starting from 2000 up, I'm an ambitious completist, and it's been an utter highlight of my year even listening through the early shows of this band. I'm at the very start of 2004, Bo and Carl just joined, and already the band is forming a sharper more dynamic sound.

But!

As I look forward to tunneling through the vast expanses of MMJ recordings, I'm disturbed that what I understand to be an essential bootleg of 2006 NYE is nowhere to be found. 12-29 is on Archive, 12-30 is on Archive, and when I reach the end of 2006 in like, six months, (haha), that's going to drive me utterly insane. I can't find 12-31 for download anywhere.

So, MMJ veterans, I would very much appreciate some peace of mind in my journey. If you can link me to 2006 NYE and any other community-considered essential bootleg that is not readily available, I will send so much good karma your way it'll almost be like you're not in the year 2020.

Thank you all. I am so excited because where I'm at in MMJ's career, they are only starting to ascend, and I want to experience every moment I can.

I'll have to see if I have it accessible, will check tomorrow. Having attended all 4 MMJ NYE shows over the years, this is the heavyweight champion of the world.

You just made my whole night, Walterfredo. I'll be eagerly keeping an eye out.

Thanks so much for posting that!  It was one of my first MMJ shows... fond memories :):):)

Ive tried to post this to Archive a couple times over the years but it gets removed because it violates their policy since it's a rip of the Sirius broadcast. I'm going to have to try again and take out any references to Sirius in the file names and see if it will stick.

The audio has fairly high static at times but there are some sweet videos on youtube from the show if you havent seen them. I would have loved to have been there. My first was a month earlier in Louisville. That NYE run is epic. Such a big deal for the band playing three nights for the first time. 2006 was a huge year for them.

Hi,

Thanks to Walterfredo's wonderful digging, I had the NYE 2006 show on my harddrive, loved it - and then my laptop crashed. Went to download the show with my new laptop and the mediafire link no longer works.

Anyone able to brighten my day and dig up another link?

Appreciate all of you.
