I can't take any credit for this, but my roomate/guitar player a few years back bought a Hammond B-3 including Leslie cabinet for 500$.  Truly a great buy.  He bought from a retired piano instructor that had no use for it anymore, and simply wanted it to go to a good home where it will be loved and appreciated.  Last year I helped him retrieve it from his old band mates house, the thing is heavier than a mother. We still need to figure out how to get into the basement where we play.  If it were up tp me, I'd cut a hole in the floors above the basement and either airlift it in with a helicopter, crane, or some such shit, but hey thats me...
