It was sorta hinted at in "Strings". But I thought I'd start a "Brag about your own gear" thread right and proper. I did a search and nothing came up, so here we go.
Werr'd.

I wish I had more money to spend on gear.  The only thing I have that I would really "brag" about is my Martin acoustic guitar, it's a thing of beauty.  Everything else is shit.

I love the things I have, although, they're probably not fancy enough to brag about.

I have an Ivers & Pond small upright piano from 1948 that was passed down to me from my Grandparents.  It came equipped with a couple of love letters that they wrote to each other, and a card that had my Grandpa's old wedding ring in it - it broke because he was a farmer and never took it off.  It also had a Mother's Day card that my Dad wrote to my Grandma when he was an air cadet and began:  "Dear Mother and rest of family..."

I have a Yamaha F-310 acoustic guitar that I got for $120 because it had some "aesthetic" problems because a dog had chewed on it.  It has beautiful tones that unfortunately don't convert well with any kind of pick up, and mic-ing it takes away something, too.

I have an autoharp that's probably from the late 50s that I love.  It has a string that buzzes, and I even love that.  It sounds like something that you don't normally hear.

I have a blue fender strat that's on permanent loan, and I am really loving it.  It's not American-made, but I think it's Japanese-made, and it's well-formed, and pretty nice to play.  I'm using a Traynor reverp amp with it, and the distortion on the amp is very awesome.  I'm also using a Boss tremolo pedal, but it's pissing me off because I think it's got a defect that drains batteries like hell.  But when it works, holy.

I have some old jingle bells from a time when people put jingle bells on horses.  They sound pretty spooky, and I'm starting to incorporate them into stuff when I can.

I have a drum/tambourine, and I took the skin off, and just use the tambourine bit.  It's got a good tone to it, and I love the sound of a tambourine.

I have this wooden xylophone that I haven't picked up in ages.  It's not really in tune, but sometimes it works, and when it does, I really like it.  I've been meaning to pick up a metal gloch for a while.

I like the sound of wind chimes when used tastefully.  I have some nice ones, but they're hard to incorporate because they're actual wind chimes, and they're in a circle.  They've got good pitch, though.

I have a couple of harmonicas that are only in tune with themselves, and nothing else.

In my house, but not mine, we have a keyboard, two more acoustic guitars (one is a lovely Norman), an electric teal hollow-body that I can't remember what kind it is, a Gibson reverb/tremolo amp, a beautiful old beltone tremolo amp, a couple of hand-made mandolins, some shakers and at present, a snare drum.

I think that's it.  Now I want to go mess around.  :)

I'm a proud owner of a Tobacco Sunburst Gibson ES 335 which I got a lil over a year ago after saving up for a couple of years. Run it through a MXR Dyna Comp, Big Muff, Vox Wah, Rotovibe and Line 6 DL4 delay into my Roland JC 120 Jazz Chorus amp.
Also have a Snoopy's Harp, Guild acoustic bass, Kurzweil keyboard and an upright piano from the 1930's. Happy days.

hey EC, you have a damn fine collection of gear!! love the story about the piano, that's beautiful!

i'm a bit short on gear at the moment - until recently i had my brother's morris (japanese copy of something) hurricane bass ("hurricane patty"), which was a little bit heavy, but still good. i'm teaching myself, so it does the job. i'm on the lookout for a nice old (possibly shortscale) bass at the moment... been doing a bit of 2nd-hand shopping

i've got a weeny little bass amp about the size of a stamp

plus the two violins... possibly the one thing i would never EVER part with for anyone. the first thing i would save if my house was on fire

& an upright piano at home

love a song for the way it makes you feel

sheesh, bucnha gear whores here.

I have a Warmoth Les Paul (www.warmoth.com) that i assembled and put together electronically. The thing is gorgeous, and I probably woudl never part with her. I've got these no-name GFS pickups in there that sound beautiful, and are so unbelievably Stratty when i coil tap em. They are beautiful and the tone is aweSome.

waaaay old pictures (note the super long hair in the second one? the first one was taken after my unfortunate Rosie O'Donnell-ing at Great Clips...), but they show off how gorgeous the top is : )

I also have an older Ibanez GAX70 that owuld be shit except for custom paint job which now makes it THE shit.

also an old picture, and it's a little grainy. I got bored so i put in one of those plant fire-spitters from Mario on there in blue on the left : )

I run all that through a Peavey Delta Blues 1x15. 15 inch speaker for some ball rumblin tone and it has tube tremolo which i never use but sounds impressive. Right now the power tubes are blown, so i'm in the process of ordering a set of new JJ tubes from eurotubes.com, because that guy is awesome and his customer service rocks. When that's finished, hopefully the amp will kick a lot more ass.

As for pedals, I've got a good ol Crybaby, a Boss Super Chorus, and a Boss DD6 delay. I'm workin on gettin another Phase90, because I love Phaser and sold it to my friend in a fit of greed and it wound up breaking under his ownership.

And that's about it.

Oh yeah, I have a Taylor 110-GB ($550 REAL Taylor, not a Big Baby) that sounds a hell of a lot better than it should. But the action on it is way messed up and a bit high, so it kind of sucks a little, but it gives some good hand strength.

and that's all i got.
The river is moving. The blackbird must be flying.

I played a black metal flake Squier Double Fat Strat for years, until this past November, where after a very crappy year, I won a $2,500.00 Epiphone Elitist Sheraton. Natural Maple... should have picked the sunburst. It's such a beautiful guitar anyway, 24k gold plate hardware, solid mahogany nick, plays beautifully of course, if not a bit awkward. As I'm so used strats and Fender based bodies, jumping from one of those to a Hollowbody is sort of uncomfortable. I still have the Strat around, for a squier, it's proven itself time and again, and it feels better than most Mexican fenders I've played. I couldn't bring myself to part with the thing. Being the nerd that I am, back when I was a sophomore I named the strat "Gurthang". The Epi for now I just call "The Precious"... you have to be a pretty big nerd to know what Gurthang meant. I've got two pretty generic Acoustic/Electrics that I call "Peaches", and the other one I call "Old Red". They get the jorb done.

I run both of these through "Big Ben", a pretty cool old Lab Series 5 2x12 combo. I replaced the stock 50 watt speakers with 70 watt Jensen mods... it was sort of out of neccesity, the amp was really meant for clean blues, and didn't take too kindly to rocking and rolling, especially through a few stompboxes. Since they blew out about 2 weeks after I got the dang thing, I still had an instore guarantee/warranty, so I opted for some alright speakers to handle all the noise I put through it. For a solid state, it sounds really bronzy and warm. I've got it dialed in pretty good to give it a really nice tubey sound. Feeds back real nice too. It gets the job done nicely, and I'm happy with my amp and my "six-shooters". I think BB King might still actually use one or two of them to this day.

I try to keep my effects fairly simple. Just what I need to get the job done, nothing too crazy. For dirty I use a used Danelectro Daddy O Overdrive. I like it because it can get down and dirty without losing the punch and warmth of clean. It can stay warm without getting staticky. Feedback through it with my settings sorta gives it a really cool calliope sound. I've got a used Jim Dunlop Crybaby... it does its job I guess. Does anyone have any suggestions for a better wah? It's passable, but it just doesn't seem to "wah" enough. I'd like something that had a wider range. And last but not least I bought a cool little Boss Flange. Also, does anyone have suggestions for delay pedals?

I've got a generic standup piano, and some model of Korg Keyboard... it's very low end... barely gets the job done, it beats rolling the Piano around everywhere. I wish the keys were weighted... I have a few slides and harmonicas and bridges, but I stopped caring about them... they weren't really my style. I use Jim Dunlop orange tortex's... the .63's I think. I like them because they're pretty sturdy, but give a little. And I use GHS Boomer's, 10's usually.

*whew*

Sorry I always sound like a lame commercial.

I love the damn thing, it will do anything you want it to.

yeah before i got my twin i played through an older fender blues deville and a fender hot rod deville.  both are super amps.  i kinda prefer the 2x12 of the twin to the 4 x 10 of the devilles, but overall they are great amps.

i also own a 1919 martin acoustic. i only play it when i record.

i'm looking for a gretsch hollowbody if someone i willing to sell.
