......on your Steelers.....very impressive....I know you will do me the same honors when/if my Dolphins ever win the big one again.
The fact that my hearts beating
is all the proof you need

congrats to the steelers....

but just to be myself here...the first ben touchdown was not a fucking touchdown.  fuck that.

congrats to the steelers, though.

corey

Agreed, ratsprayer. I also don't think that the Seattle TD should have been called back on "offensive pass interference".

Specialist

actually there were a couple bad calls from the officials. Anyway, congrats to the Steelers.
Hold my life until I'm ready to use it

First, the White Sox win the World Series.

Then, the Steelers win the Super Bowl.

Now if I can only think to bet money on these things.... ;)

27-4 as a starter in 2 years.
1st year AFC Championship game
2nd year Super Bowl champ
 That's pretty darn lucky  ;)

Big Ben would be nobody without that offensive line, Hines Ward, Anton El, Jerome Bettis, etc. etc.  That's what's so great about them winning it all;  the teamwork exhibited by all the players.  There's no whiny stars like T.O. or flashy payrolls, just good, solid, old skool football.

Except for that trick play, that is... ;D

I agree.  I don't know why but I do not like Ben Wankersburger.  But, the Steelers playing like they did through the playoffs and winning the Super Bowl speaks volumes for their coaching staff and proves that you don't necessarily need a stud quarterback to win it all.

I'm not trying to take anything away from the Steelers. Hell, I rooted for them the last half of the season (I didn't really watch ANY NFL game during the first half).
But somewhere today, there are a couple of officials kicking themselves in the ass when they watch the highlights.

How the fuck did Hasslebeck get called for blocking when he was trying to tackle someone?
 ???

There's going to be a whole lotta Monday Morning Quarterbacking going on.  It happens every year, this one is no exception.

All I can say is this:  the officials are the final word on this;  they always are.  I don't recall being overly pissed that the officials blew the interception call in Indy...but then again the Steelers won anyways, so perhaps I forgot all too quickly.

Every sport, in every season, esp. with the advent of the internet, has people bitching about officials.  I don't envy them at all, they have a thankless job that is undermined in every way by every losing team's fans with keyboards.

I agree about the refs.

I mean, look at the Saints this year. I know there was that small inconvenient hurricane called Katrina, then Deuce McAllister tore his ACL, but the bottom line is the refs prevented them from getting to the playoffs.

Perhaps it's a vast AFC conspiracy  :o

What would you be saying this morning if the shoe was on the other foot? It's not like the game was a blowout and the Steelers would have won anyway. Take away the Big Ben touchdown and give Seattle the TD that was called back and you've got a whole different ballgame... and it's all because of questionable calls.

I understand that being a ref is thankless and that no one is perfect. I'm just saying that they might feel pretty bad about some things this morning when they see the highlights.

But what's done is done and there's really nothing that can be done about it at this point.

(Like I said earlier, I was rooting for the Steelers up until this game so it's not like I'm completely disgusted).
:)

The Steelers pretty much won the championship when they beat the Colts.  The Colts are going to get it done next year though.  I can't wait for the Pitsburgh rematch.

you have more faith in my team than i do.   :-/

i seriously doubt edgerrin will be with them next season, so it might not be pleasant in indy.
