Anyone?

This is my favorite time of the year (close match with fall and college football).  Spent the last 3 Saturdays in front of the TV, 12-12.

My sleeper is George Washington, a team full of atheletes but don't seem real regimented in their team play.

Don't like Duke but love watching JJ Reddick. Don't like coach K, but what a coach and program.

Also big fan of Adam Morrison of Gonzaga and the 'stach. Last night I heard him say the mustache was the noblest form of facial hair (or something like that).

Not a Big east fan (and their 16 team conference). Looking forward to the Nova/U Conn game tomorrow night. Like Nova and their 4 guard look.

Don't like anything from the Big 10

Like very little from the Pac-10

SEC, got to love Bruce Pearl and what he's done at Tenn. Lofton is the man, love the story how he was Mr Kentucky basketball and was skipped over by UK and Louisville, and he torched UK in Lexington on Tuesday. Hope Vandy can make a run to make the tourney (they have to basically win out and get 2 wins in the SEC tourney). All Ole Miss needs to do is take the SEC tourney, then put together a nice 6 game win streak for the title...

Memphis St (NOT Univ of Memphis!) is also a dark horse.

G'town could have a big move in the rankings if they beat WV this evening.

I love it bbbaaaaaaabbbbyyyyy

Blasphemy for saying you like watching JJ Reddick  :).  I have a personal vendetta against him for hitting so many fucking threes.  But, this is coming from a die hard tar heels fan.  I can't wait till next year when Tyler Hansborough and Wes Miller will take it all the way (or at least farther than this year).

As long as Duke doesn't win the NCAA tourney, I'll be happy.

It is nice to see "smart" basketball winning.  Duke always has this, but
Gonzaga looks really good as well.  WV is also a strong defensive force with some very smart players.  Ohio St. looked fucking great yesterday against the Illini.  Good game tongiht for sure.  I think Nova takes it by 4 points...my money is on it.
eat meat, eat meat, eat a big ole stear.

scientology is the answer.  sorry jesus.

Screw the ACC! Go Big East and Go Orangemen!!

I just hope they'll start pulling up their socks. It's been a rough couple of weeks.

Why don't you like anything from the Big10? They're playing some of the best hoops in the country. As a Michigan fan, I've really taken my lumps these last 3 games (losses Iowa, Ohio St., and now Purdue), but come on...Ohio State is a top notch team that can shoot with anyone in the country. Illinois, although down this year, is still having a solid year, Michigan State is always a tough out in the tournament, and will be again this year, Iowa is leading all Big10 teams and can be as physical as anyone, and Minnesota, Wisconsin, and Penn St. can all win games over ranked opponents (see Minnesota knocking off MSU and Penn. St beating the Illini). I challenge any team in America to play a Big10 schedule...Guaranteed that the Duke's and Connecticuts of the world don't leave without 2 or more losses.

Big ten is solid every year.  This year, they are very solid.  You've got Illinois, Michigan State, Iowa, Wisconsin, Indiana (although I don't know what's wrong with them lately)...I'd say Michigan State looks the best out of all of them.

I actually don't really care this much about this year cause UK is having a terrible year and may not even make the toruney...

now my only hope is for Duke NOT to win the tourney...their fans seem smug...anyone else see that?

TheBigDonger

bunch of preppy white boys smug?  c'mon now!

Jump on my bandwagon, fellow anti-Dookie.  They have a team led by a coach that looks like a rat.  I will be oh-so-happy if they don't win this year.

I guess I like Illinois OK. I rooted for them against North Carolina last year. Michigan St. was my sleeper for the Final 4  last year.

Also I'm a closet Michigan fan. I was rooting for them in the 76 championship game against the undefeated Indiana team. I was a big Ricky Green fan.

TheBigDonger

hmm, I guess I was right about Nova.  And, Kansas too.  Too bad that Sutton dude wrecked his car and got sitred for DUI. :-/

Louisville Cardinal fan here. Even though were haviing a bad year since joining the Big East(The Toughest conference from top to bottom). Still having fun watching basketball. The Big Ten always has a tough conference as well as the SEC and ACC all which have perennial powerhuse teams  Louisville and Kentucky both drop the ball when it came to not recruiting Chris Lofton(a classic pure shooter)  now at #8 Tennesse.

realdeal

yeah...im so pissed about  this year it's painful. i stroke out everytime i watch them play. but...if you have a completely healthy Dean, Palacios, Padgett, and Brian Johnson, we could have made something of this year or at least made in to the dance.

im out.

primushead

How bout Tyler Hansrough setting a new Dean Dome record AND UNC freshman record in the same night?

LOL!!

Yeah as if he's one of those "developing players"!  The guys is going to be dominating in the ACC in the next couple of years.....sheeeeyit...he's already a dominate force this year.

And poor Duke they lose their top two scorers next year who combine for like 40 points......

awwwww.......boo-hooo :-[

As for this year, my bet is with UCONN.   They have like NO weaknesses.  Duke will lose to teams that are really athletic and have good guards who can score and someone who can shutdown Reddick (a team like Villanova could beat Dukie)

UCONN is just too strong!

UCONN is just too strong!

Rudy Gay is fucking awesome.  Reddick might be able to shoot better, but you can't deny Gay's ability to drive in for the lay-up.  I'm bettin on UConn this year...at least for the pool.

Totally agree with you about Duke and JJ Reddick but the boy sure can shoot.  He's averaging 29pts a game against quality teams in and out of conference. Probably the leader for player of the year along with Adam Morrison from Gonzaga.
